Pretty much because Bioware plays the linear warriors, quadratic wizards trope perfectly, which is awesome.
Widows can't read tropes.
Also noticed that ME1 for PC had so many bugs even with both patches. One time in [sp]the Noveria Rachni part in the Quarantine Area[/sp] elevator bugged and the doors would not close and I had to go back a hour of gameplay... which I got through a lot easier. (?????)
Adepts are ok, but I never use powers so I'm playing as a soldier, and for my play style it makes things like 100 times better. [editline]25th June 2011[/editline] Like I haven't even died once. Not a huge accomplishment, but it's pretty cool when I would just use the pistol on everyone.
While I highly dislike the cover-based mechanics of ME2 (I modded crouching back in anyways, so its not a huge deal) I think the regeneration speed of the powers does make for better gameplay. I've made an adept character its a lot of fun hurling people into singularities. Playing a soldier and bursting people in the face has its appeal.. but ive never gotten a chance to use the Bio-classes, and its quite a lot of fun. ME2 has great performance and stunning visuals, the interface is fairly solid, too. A good console port, if a console port at all.
if a console port at all.
endless loading loops say yes.

The reaper larva was incredibly easy. Yes, it took quite a lot of damage to kill, but it was insanely easy to not take any damage from it. I think the hardest level was on Horizon, fucking husks.
Are you kidding me biotics sucked compared to the first this is coming from someone who thinks Adept is the only acceptable class, before you could throw that Asari on Feros clear across the room into the void below, clear out entire rooms of enemies with one singularity, barrier through all of insanity, and stasis/warp the shit out of everything big. In the second one the only real sense of power you got was using shockwave to kill swarms of those zombie guys in one hit and that skill isn't even commonly used. I had to play through ME2 insanity as soldier (ugh) because my maxed out adept couldn't match the damage output of a Revenant.
Um, yeah they sucked compared to the first game, because they were overpowered in the first game. It sucks that you actually have to use some kind of tactics when it comes down to using powers and can't just win the game by spamming one power? Good god, stop the presses, they need to be put on trial for such a travesty. How hard is it, really? Take Miranda, Garrus, Mordin, hell anyone with a power that targets shields/armor/biotic barriers. Use squaddies to take down barriers, then let loose with your own powers and wreck everyone's shit. Oh my god, that's so hard and totally makes Shepard look weak. He totally can't just mindfuck enemies and make them fight each other or anything like that. I think the only power I've used in my latest playthrough so far is dominate. Squaddies take care of the rest. lol revenant isn't even that powerful. Soldier is actually fairly difficult on Insanity because you have to expose yourself in order to do damage. Adepts and everyone else can sit behind cover and toss powers out from behind it. I don't think it's a case of adepts being bad, I think it's a case of you being bad. You obviously had no idea how to play the game as an adept because you expected it to be easy mode like in ME1.
endless loading loops say yes.
I hate the loading screens. They're artistically gorgeous, but ME1 was infinitely more immersive. Plus, as long as the elevators could take (which I never really minded), it ensured almost seamless loading throughout.
Grunts recruitment mission was such pain in general really, atleast I did it early so I have the strongest squadmate on my squad. The last part is the worst. Heavy mech firing at you, krogans constantly pushing forward and Jedora firing her rockets are you. Such clusterfuck.
Dominate, dominate, dominate. I can't stress enough how important it is to choose dominate as your special power. It easily beats warp ammo and anything else, especially when used on hardcore and insanity. All you have to do is get one enemy's shields/armor/barrier down, then you've won the battle. Use dominate on him, he'll at least take down another enemy's shields before he dies, use dominate on that guy, rinse dry repeat. It recharges so retardedly fast too. I beat that last part of Grunt's recruitment mission by just dominating a single krogan the entire time. I don't even think my shields went down halfway.
The best thing about the elevators were the elevator dialoges, bring wrex with you and stuff what he says is just damn awesome/wise.
The best thing about the elevators were the elevator dialoges, bring wrex with you and stuff what he says is just damn awesome/wise.
I also liked the banter between Garrus, Tali and Ashley. Sorry Liara and Kaiden :(
pretty much the main reason why I think that Wrex > Grunt.

Singularity is okay, Warp is fine. Combine the two and you get a fucking biotic explosion.
Hey all! Posting from Shanghai, China. :buddy: Any news for the last 3 days?

[editline]26th June 2011[/editline]
Hey all! Posting from Shanghai, China. :buddy: Any news for the last 3 days?
Mass was effected and Thanix canons were calibrated.
I wonder if people here knows of Mass Effect at all...
I dunno. If Bioware ships to China, then probably.
I wonder if people here knows of Mass Effect at all...
Egh. From what I've heard, China isn't all that stingy about games. As long as it doesn't put China in some kind of negative spotlight. I doubt EA would restrict its flow to places like Asia, but hell, its EA. They'll pull anything out of their ass.
I'll have a lookout for Mass Effect stuff in electronic stores when I go out, as I need computer parts to prepare for ME3 and BF3.
Is the n7 hoodie still available. Pretty late I know but I was just wondering. Also Mav I thought you bought it, how good is it as a hoodie?
I'm not sure if this has been answered or not, but I bought the hoodie, and I must say, it's one of the better hoodies I've purchased. [editline]26th June 2011[/editline]
It's excellent. Very warm, it's not super thin like cheap hoodies. Very comfortable, holds up in the rain well, doesn't have any stupid "lol vidya gaems" things on it as far as I can tell. Sizing is a bit strange though. I got a large, the sleeves are a great length but the chest area is snug. I like it that way, but the chest area is definitely tighter fitting than the standard large hoodie. So if you're a big fella, you might want to move up a size higher than usual. What is it, like 60 bucks? Can't remember since I bought the thing over a year ago. Definitely worth the cash, it's still as good as new despite going through rainstorms, having beer spilled on it, and being exposed to a lot of smoke.
Well, I guess I found your answer. As to the "lol vidya gaems" thing, I did find a Bioware logo on one sleeve, but it's not very noticeable.
I wanted to buy the SR2 hat from the store. But damn 20 bucks? I'd rather by a shirt.
Honestly if they sold the Cerberus attire crewmembers, Joker, and even Shepard can wear, I'd buy that shit in an instant. Then I'd buy the hat. Dunno about the pants, but I'd wear the fuck out of the top. Would look pretty unorthodox amongst today's fashion but it's not like people would be going "what a nerde," they'd just wonder what the fuck I am wearing.
I'll have a lookout for Mass Effect stuff in electronic stores when I go out, as I need computer parts to prepare for ME3 and BF3.
Personally, I wouldn't want to run the risk of low quality knock offs potentially destroying my computer, but more power to ya!

The young kid didn't make it. I could swear to god Kaidan was crying. He never let us see no tears. Anyway, the best attire for me is the one from the Kasumi DLC.

Heavy mech firing at you, krogans constantly pushing forward and Jedora firing her rockets are you. Such clusterfuck.
My trick to survive that is to not go into the chamber with Jedore. When walking down the stairs before entering the chamber, I place the squaddies on the stairs with maybe a sniper or AR. Then i stand in the dorr opening so that it stays open and shoot the enemy. When a krogan comes close, i just step back, close the dorr, Recharge shields and then open it to have the Krogan ripped apart by the squaddies. Works every time Oh, and the Heavy mech can't come close ether :v:
Personally, I wouldn't want to run the risk of low quality knock offs potentially destroying my computer, but more power to ya!
You do realize most of the parts that people use are manufactured in China, and assembled together in the US, right? To get the good stuff, you need to know people around here.
So are you just visiting China or what? Also you should get Chrome.

I don't like Cerberus though N7 erryday.
