The Swedish grades are generally pretty poor, because nobody gives a damn about the country and the language sounds stupid to our ears. It's a Finnish thing.

The main problem with any foreign languages other than English, is that chances are, that you won't use them a lot, and you'll eventually forget them.

I've always thought learning English must be wierd for Finnish and Estonian people, the two languages are so different to Germanic languages like English and Swedish.
If you could create an entire new race in the Mass Effect universe, what would it be? what's their background story? What are they like? What do they look like? What would be the name of the race?

Nah, I find english very easy and easier than estonian, eventhough estonian is the language I have been using for my entire life.

Wow in America we aren't forced to learn any languages. I will be taking my fourth year of Spanish next year because I think learning a language, even if I never use it, is a good skill to have. But damn, it's nothing like what you guys have. I kinda wished we had that here. Even in England I know a lot of places make you take a year of a European language, my sis did anyway.

Spanish was a requirement for me in middle school but the teachers were complete shit. Didn't retain anything from those classes.
