Anyone who takes a video game romance seriously or who feels the need to expand upon it significantly, is just weird man.

I'd be a hypocrite if I said it's stupid to have feelings for a video game character, but some people really do take it too far.

Most people probably do it due to loneliness or depression, or as crutches or emotional escapes or some shit.

D'aww :3:. Wonder if L2 implants can use biotics in "creative ways". :pervert:

All Xmancers are bad.
The ones that are vocal are the worst. The Talimancers at least stopped after a while and are now only posting on their own thread. About Tali that is.
You should have seen the Liaramancers a few days/weeks post-LotSB on BSN.
It's mostly calm now though.
So does liking one character more than others make you an 'X-mancer'? Or do you have to be obnoxiously obsessed to be considered one?

Some of the Tali ones are alright, I occasionally go there and to my surprise, they mostly just talk about Fanfics and shit.

Basically obnoxiously obsessed.

See now that makes me sad to think people have to use a video game for that because they don't have people in real life :smith:

I've known quite a few Talimancers personally, some are fucked up, some are actually good people who are just depressed and like to escape into fantasies like Mass Effect.

Video games serve as an escape for the depressed or mentally unstable. They find something that real life cannot provide and attach themselves to it. It's a vicious cycle to the point where it's sort of like the Solipsism Thane explained, only it's not dreaming, but a game. They want to believe it is real to the point where it seems as valid as real life. These are the the same kind of kids/people who see something on television and get so into it that they believe they are capable of whatever they see. While children are more impressionable, young and older adults are just as vulnerable when the mind is unstable.
Being a Therapist/Psychiatrist is going to be tough for me. :frown:
Tali: how does it feel to have a brigade of creepy fans?

Exactly, it's nice to see someone who understands similarly as I do.

Where's that image of Tali on a unicycle when you need it?

Kind of unsettling, Kind of Don't mind.

I liked Tali because she was the most "normal" female romance in ME2. Also her hips are groovy.

Basically that.
My friend showed me a mod where you can get every squaddie as tali. The suicide mission will not be the same.

Triple Tali Time is always fun.
What about Quad Legion :q:
I was disappointed that Tali wasn't a LI in ME1, but then Miranda came around and I was conflicted. Ultimately, Miri won me over.

Because everything with a Slot A or Device B should be bangable.

It seems like you sure are dead set on bitching about Tali
What
Some characters that are squadmates should be off-limits to romance, since let's face it, Shepard's smooth, but he shouldn't be that smooth.

Where did I say anything about Tali?
Damn it, I keep reading 'titles' in the thread title as 'titties'.
I think there's something wrong with me.

I blame Baldur's Gate. Any female PC could be romanced and I had a soft spot for Aerie. Tali is Space Aerie :frown:

Are you actually a therapist/psychiatrist, or training to be? That's something I've thought about doing for a long time (though I doubt I'll have the grades for it now)
I've only ever played on console, but from what I've seen it's tediously slow compared to using a mouse
I have ME2 on the 360, I've tried it on the PC and I have to say mining is actually much easier with a console controller compared to the mouse. Sure it's not as precise but I found generally it was much much more relaxing and less tiresome than having to scroll my mouse constantly around the planet.

Sorry, missed a 'to be' in there. Training to be one.
