Left side pyro right side quarian
[editline]29th June 2011[/editline]
Impossible. There was only like a dozen of them left. That's not enough genetic diversity for the species to sustain, let alone 50,000 years on a space station with no food or water post-reaping.
Maybe one of the cryo pods was accidentally kept frozen and somehow he got out. Or maybe the collector base was using like a base prothean for the clones or something, I dunno.
You're forgetting that this is a videogame. If ships like sovereign can exist (which was an actual reaper) then I forsee plenty of possibilities for a prothean companion. Who sais they don't have an ability to go in some sort of stasis?
They did. The cryo-pods on Ilos. Didn't work out so well for them.
Looks like this is the final boxart:

Let's just say I'm glad I'm getting the collector's edition.
(Sorry if I'm late.)
Why, what's wrong with it, looks fine IMO.
Doesn't blend well.

OH GOD, WHAT'S GOING ON IN HERE?
Maybe they will still change it, remember how this was supposed to be ME2 cover art.

the ME2 one looks like a typical oldschool scifi movie cover, which is a good thing.
Shepherd is inside Legion.
get him out, GET HIM OUT

That's some seriously awesome looking (although probably extremely inpractical) armour.
The thing I don't understand though is if you are going to do a drawing like that, spending so much time and getting the details in, how could you let the reflection look so wrong and the left foot look so thin?
There's less creativity in boxarts for action video games nowadays imo.
I think the Battlefield 3 box art looks incredible:
I don't like using it myself but it's the best shotgun for squaddies to have.
It does considerably more damage than the eviscerator I think, but isn't as accurate. Which doesn't really matter at anything other than long ranges.
...
It homes in on targets; that's about as fucking accurate as you can get. Pulse charge also does more damage than a Claymore, ie it's the best shotgun in the game, period.
Does anyone still have that comic about Doctor Chakwas and the Scar-Remover?
This one?
scar removal is for pussies
I'd hope a single 'unit' of each element isn't a tonne, because if it is I feel fucking sorry for Shepard when he finds crates of 500 units of Element Zero and the likes while on foot missions.

Woah. The one with Saren's head taking up half of the cover, and Shepard and Ashely taking up the other half looked epic!

Looks like something the Collectors could wear if they had any sense of self preservation.
The original Mass Effect cover seemed to be inspired by their previous sci-fi hit, Knights of the Old Republic.
One thing I love about Mass Effect is that it shows that Shepard, as much of a badass as he is, is still just a regular dude when it comes down to it. He likes to talk to people, socialise, have fun, make friendships, help people out when they have problems, etc, etc. He's not some badass who's too good for A or B, he's just a regular dude who got caught up in an interstellar war.
I mean, I'm sure everyone in life has done, or will end up doing at least one thing that gains them a lot of respect/awe from the people directly around them at the time and they (people around you at the time) all of a sudden think of you as some larger than life figure (if even only for some short period of time)... but anyone who ever goes through anything like that never really seems to really feel any different about themselves. It's kind of neat to see a character like that for once. Makes Shepard seem VERY real and relateable in that sense. He just sees himself as a regular guy who's got to do what must be done.
Bioware writing wins again!

Is it odd that I think every single one of those, save for the one with Reaper claws grasping the planet, looks better than the final box art?
Then again, I thought the old ME2 cover art (shown a few posts above) was better than the final as well, so what do I know?

It looks cool, but all they did was take the bad company 2 main menu artwork and change out the vehicles.
It looks cool, but all they did was take the bad company 2 main menu artwork and change out the vehicles.
It's very similar, but if you look close you can see it's two different drawings done in the same style.

that box art looks like a war of the worlds ripoff IMHO.

the best one imo. It uses the old shepard so I can kind of understand why they didnt use it.
Also recruiting mordin on insanity with no deaths = win:keke:

That's the only good one IMO, the others have massive cases of floating head syndrome.
the best one imo. It uses the old shepard so I can kind of understand why they didnt use it.
because today's generic covers involve the main character holding his assault rifle in his right hand and walking over debris as he doesn't give a fuck about anything.
[editline]29th June 2011[/editline]
not necessarily a bad thing, but so repetitive
ME3 should be less than 6 months off. :(

He's suprisingly well adjusted for someone who kills people as often as he does.
Well, Renegade Shep less so, but still.
