Mass Effect Megathread - Ah, yes, titles. We have dismissed that claim

I wish teammates were more effective. I just finished LotSB and my team died as soon as we entered the ship. I had to wipe out like 15 dudes on my own

"Tunnel Snakes Rule!" is what I could see Kaidan saying
One thing i'm wondering, how can harbinger speak with Shepard. Unlike soverign, I assume that harbinger has been in dark space for 50 000 years. One possibilty might be that harbinger is speaking in the prothean language and since Shepard has the cipher he understands what harbinger is saying.
THIS HURTS YOU. IF I MUST TEAR YOU APART SHEPARD, I WILL.
Well to be honest talking in the prothean language makes sense since collectors are [sp] modified protheans[/sp]

Or, they Collectors translated it for Harbinger when they were capturing the Humans.

I have a feeling is may have pissed some people off, and sorry if I have. But on the other hand, isn't this meant to be a mass effect thread, not a "take the piss out of Call Of Duty and Battlefield" thread? Just saying.
squadmates
They have been hearing that one since day 1, and their stance is "shepard should feel OMG so much totally empowered like the mariest sue that ever married a sue". I seriously doubt your buddies will be any better in three, just more flexible in how they can be kitted as combat vehicles.
I wish you could change class once you have already started a game. I played through ME1 and ME2 as default Shep and I didn't know there were classes until I beat ME2, so now I'm playing again on insanity and imported that character and I wish I could change him to Adept or something. Oh well, maybe that will have to wait for a 3rd play through with a new character :v:

but that makes it too easy, because if they used the method which you described, people would just change classes to suit a particular mission.
That's true, maybe make it kind of like advanced training except a lot more expensive; or maybe one free class change. I don't know, it would be nice to be something other than soldier.
nah. if you choose a class, you gotta stick with it. for better or worse.

Classes are fine the way they are. Try creating your own character next time instead of a preset.
Using preset characters in a WRPG? What is this madness?

you can change your class at the start of ME2 regardless of what class the character you imported was

Oh I think I misread, if the problem is that you're already playing through as the default character, yeah sucks for you bro
If I wanted to take the shortcut and get a ME1 save to import into 2, with specific choices made, where would I go?

Why is it had to find a male Spacer/war hero that saved the council, recruited wrex/garrus, saved wrex, romanced no one, and nuked Ashley?

That was my FIRST character I ever played. First run through of Mass Effect I did exactly those things (oh, bar the romance: I fucked Liara I think).
Now it's:
Male Spacer/Sole Survivor, focussed on Sovereign and lost the council, recruited everyone, saved Wrex, left nothing but Ash, and fucked Liara.

"I'm taking this gun away from you Mister, because you're obviously not mature enough to handle it!"
I don't get why focusing on sovereign is renegade. Also I love how you don't know that destiny Ascension has like 10,000 people on it, and only like 800 humans die saving it. It would have made it way easier, because before, it seems like you are picking between the humans and 3 people, but then you find out there were a ton of people on it.
It's probably not too hard to get over when you've been killing people for so long.
'specially when they're shooting AT you. You probably don't see it as murder then, but simply as self defence.
I'd be freaking out if everywhere I went people just shot at me for no reason. I just want to be friends.

Wasn't there a ME2 DLC that lets you make those decisions in the form of a comic, before you start a game?
I remember reading about it just when I finished ME1...

Genesis.
That's a lot of locked threads in OP.

They just put their hand on the handguard and good to go, I don't see what the problem is. I don't think you would be holding the rifle like usually when not in a combat situation.
