We're actually not off-topic, we're discussing the fact of the different sophisticated species of Earth and how they would manage in the Mass Effect universe. Right?
We all know that Sharks and Alligators are naturally susceptible to illegal arms deals.

Can we stay on the topic of the Mass Effect, Please?
[release]Mass Effect 3’s Makers Aren’t Ready for Tali’s Closeup Owen Good —We are 8 months from Mass Effect 3's release and still unaddressed is one critical detail everyone expects the trilogy will at last reveal: the unmasking of Tali. In an interview with CVG, Casey Hudson, the executive producer for the game, implied that the team hasn't conclusively decided what to do about Tali. Reading his comment one way, it sounds like BioWare has made its decision and is hoping fans like it. Read another, it's still up in the air. Here's the full context. We changed Tali—that was tough because people were very passionate about her. A lot of people want to have her face revealed and obviously people are going to be pissed off either way. Like "I thought she was going to look beautiful!" or "I thought she was going to be the most hideous thing ever!" So we've had a lot of debate over Tali's face, but that's the one we kind of dread a lot. We're always "well, let's talk about something else for a while!" That's something we're going to have to decide. So it sounds like they've made up their minds on her appearance but are still waffling on whether to reveal it. My bet is on beautiful. One detail is settled: Shepard will have the opportunity to punch a reporter, again. I hope Tali looks like Cthulhu.
If they don't make Tali at least somewhat attractive then Shepard's creeper face will be even wierder.
But why do humans need to be genetically diverse to be like that? Look at us now, we're the most badass species on the god damn planet and we're not really genetically diverse.
Why and because are two very different things. It's not supposed to make Linnean sense, just like most of the "science" in ME isn't science at all, it's thematic foreshadowing and topic reinforcement. It's simply a verbal reinforcement of "Humans are crazy and will defeat reapers with
CRAZY MONKEY TRICKS AT THE LAST POSSIBLE SECOND (TM)
and "humans have lots of potential and it's all over the place cause they're so very humany, and that's how they will win because crazy diversity of thought and action has never occurred in the Mass Effect universe before, because humans (and therefore the player) are special and unique."
I hope Tali looks like Cthulhu.
The sheer unimaginable horror of her face drives even the Reapers to insanity
If they don't make Tali at least somewhat attractive then Shepard's creeper face will be even wierder.
This is a very good point. If you romanced Tali, then Shepard has already seen (and got very personal with) Talis face.
I still say, never reveal the quarian's faces, EVER.
The sheer unimaginable horror of her face drives even the Reapers to insanity
That or they die laughing.
I like how Humans were the only race in the galaxy who ever thought about using carriers in space combat before they even fought a war in space. And they worked somehow.
Still don't understand why we can't just go to the 'extranet' and google "quarian without mask"
I think that Tali's face should be revealed but it should be very hard to do so or a hard to find easter egg
You should only get to see it if you kill her.
Still don't understand why we can't just go to the 'extranet' and google "quarian without mask"
Would be interesting to have your terminal operate like the computers in GTA IV.
You should only get to see it if you kill her.
I always wanted to see a quarian struggle after its face shield cracked
I always wanted to see a quarian struggle after its face shield cracked
Needs to be a Renegade interrupt.
Needs to be a Renegade interrupt.
yeah, like grabbing and thrusting an omniblade through it, without killing the quarian "you better talk fast now and I might let you run"
Would be interesting to have your terminal operate like the computers in GTA IV.
certainly and interesting concept, although i for one am sick of hundreds of mini games.
yeah, like grabbing and thrusting an omniblade through it, without killing the quarian "you better talk fast and I let you run"
Either that or yanking off the mask.
Or better yet, unmask 2 quarians and both of them look completely different
That'd be classy and skillful.
Or better yet, unmask 2 quarians and both of them look completely different
I'd die of laughter if you picked two twins.
