Mass Effect Megathread - Ah, yes, titles. We have dismissed that claim
Also, I totally called Cerberus teaming up with the reapers midway through ME2, so I destroyed the base. Was surprised that no major betrayal happened, thought I might be wrong then BAM! ME3 cerberus enemies. It's not a very big leap to go from "We must protect humanity at all costs" to "We must ensure humanity is dominant at all costs"
It's the saren argument; better to serve the Reapers than be annihilated, and it ensures human dominance (sort of)
Hmm yes. Being a pant-sniffer beats being extincted.
I wonder if there are going to be any collectors left in ME3. I could understand them being extinct now but fighting them for the first time on Horizon was awesome. They were these near-mythical boogeymen that we spent a ton of time preparing to meet and bam, there they are and they look so damn mysterious and weird
I'd imagine they would be deactivated or something, since Mordin said they were basically mindless robots that could only operate with the presence of a leader figure.
Still, it would be downright awesome to encounter a self-aware Collector similar to The Architect from Dragon Age Awakening.
I saved it because the tech could be used to fight the reapers

And then we destroy them. We better get to revive some protheans or I'll kill myself.

I think I'll get nauseous if that's the actual reason TIM is siding with the Reapers, would totally turn me off to Bioware games from then on.
Not saying I agree, but I can see how they got persuaded to help the reapers is what I mean.

Maybe TiM gets ousted from power. Would be kinda neat to have him on the Normandy.
Maybe "We are the harbinger of your perfection" got TIM's attention.
Because you can really try an assassin/merc on his word when you barely know him.
The same as you can with a Cerberus agent you don't know.

would explain how TIM knew where the collector vessel was taking a break
would explain how TIM knew where the collector vessel was taking a break
But if they were working together in ME2, why would he not just kill Shepard? Or why hire Liara to get the body when he could have let the collectors keep it?
But if they were working together in ME2, why would he not just kill Shepard? Or why hire Liara to get the body when he could have let the collectors keep it?
because he is just pretending to be their ally, TIM wants the technology all for himself/cerberus and yoomanity.
[editline]5th July 2011[/editline]
then again it probably got out of hand and real indoctrination happened
Because you can really try an assassin/merc on his word when you barely know him.
I trust Thane more so than most of the Dirty Dozen that you recruit.
I hope Vega's characterization is better than he looks. His character sounds alright, if not the possibility he would be simply die shortly after his appearance [sp]like in most bioware games[/sp].
I'm hoping James Vega is the kind of character who is naive to the galaxy but also your protege. Someone who you act as a mentor to and can be seen as another right-hand man. And maybe a nice, slight, Hispanic accent.
assassin loyalty mission, I had to redo the interogation 4 times because I kept picking paragon and I kept failing...
Told Thane we'd make shit up as we went on
First choice: I'm a spectre, spill it or I'll make you disappear
So what did you guy's do at the end of ME2? Save or destroy it?
Fuck me flipways if I'm going to trust Cerberus after what we know of them.
I'd like for paragon options to stop being auto-win please. There are very few genuine situations that can't be solved best by "LOL PICK PARAGON!"
But Renegade options are auto-win aswell.
I keep noticing people who primarily play renegade bitching that paragons should be punished for not being dicks and that renegade should cause all women to immediatly orgasm and clothes to fly off everytime the option is selected.
Mass Effect Megathread - "Hmm, yes funny bumps. We are confused at these claims"
I wish they had kept Vega's name as Sanders. Then I could make KFC jokes whenever he was talking.
Also, I hope the companions aren't wearing their armor all the time. I hope they have civilian clothes or fatigues they can wear.
Also, I hope the companions aren't wearing their armor all the time. I hope they have civilian clothes or fatigues they can wear.
I miss that from Mass Effect. Team would suit up in their armor when they left the ship, would be in their respective casual wear inside the ship. Well, except for Garrus, Wrex, and Tali. But I don't see Wrex or Tali changing their clothes very much.

Maybe normal clothes while on the ship and then armour on missions. It would make ship life feel more normal

By the way I see it, cerberus is [sp] indoctrinated [/sp] so it's not really their fault. Also if you keep the collector base you can eventually retake it from cerberus and use it's tech inside.

Tali I understand. Wrex and Grunt would look odd, perhaps. Everyone else, like Garrus, Liara, and the lot, should dress in something casual when chilling on the ship rather than staying armored up.
I think Jack is kinda a dumb bitch. She's better when you talk to her a bit, but I still don't really like her.

Your insights into character, morality, and depth are unmatched.
How much of a pain in the ass must it be for some of the aliens to get into their armor...much of it looks very form fitting, like Turian armor. Like it would take some serious contortions to get into it.

It's obviously uncomfortable.
I mean Garrus grabs his collar like every 5 seconds.

My Spacer Ultimate Paragon Shepard has a mother by the name "Hannah Shepard"

I'm glad I'm appreciated.

Hannah Shepard declined the promotion to admiral, stating it was a political ploy, and that she could honor her son best by captaining a ship.
I wonder if Asari have vaginas

I would guess so, how would they give birth?

That squid on their head spreads open and drops an egg.
