Yeah, something like that. They thrust this urgent situation on you (hell, perhaps even more urgent in nature than the plot of Mass Effect 2 itself) and you feel like you need to take care of it immediately.
"Shepard, not to bug you or anything 'cause I know you're trying to stop the Collectors and all who will probably take months, even years perhaps to fulfil their plans, but the Reapers are kinda... y'know, gonna invade in a few months - maybe even weeks. Just thought I'd give you a heads up. You can take care of this whenever you want to."
Pehaps a movie/ game about the things Ashley/ Kaiden did between ME1 and ME3, exept for Horizon.

I wrote an idea for an ME movie teaser trailer, but that was on my old account :smith:. Going from the discovery on Mars to the culmination of the Liberation of Shanxi, following an Alliance captain might be interesting, especially if they bring in the friction there was between the Alliance and the Earth governments.
Is Garry ever going to bring back the old emotes?

Hackett would've been a captain during the First Contact War, so that would actually be pretty brilliant. They never gave us his history in the games, so they'd have a pretty easy time giving him a background.

Isn't it like 27 years prior to ME2? In which case he could have been even lower in rank.
Regardless, I'm sure they could make an interesting story out of that, and it'd be a good connection between the games and the movie.

I'm guessing the movie will have some cool trailers and then nothing happens, like the halo movie. But if they do have Shepard, maybe they'll have the Skyllian Blitz or Torfan or something. Maybe not the main part of the movie, maybe some kid was rescued by him on Ellysium and so he joined the Alliance.

That's the thing about a movie with Shepard, they can't really pick a set background for him/her.

Well male soldier is kinda default, I would guess if they had to pick, war hero would be the "default" background. I have no idea about Earther vs colonist vs spacer, but I think spacer has a slight edge, I think it's the paragon birth place right?
Why would paragon have the edge? It's not like paragon is more canon than renegade.
Not sure if I'll be around to make the new thread. We'll see, I just think that it would be better to have a different OP, not just a copy/paste.
