Does anybody remember from the Treasure Hunt if you can get the Achievements after the day they are featured or not? I'm going to be gone all weekend.

Correct, you get all 4 DLC packs which add a considerable amount of gameplay. I think it's worth paying the extra $2.50.
Yeah, it's worth it.
Make sure to finish the mainstory first, though, as there are some spoilers in the DLC.

You could. But the giveaway was a little different last year, so it might work differently this year.
I think there's going to be a different image each day. Today it was Telltale-themed because they had their packs on sale. Tomorrow - ???

I'm glad the rewards this year aren't just hats. It's hats, Portal hats, DLC, + a game. That's pretty fucking nice.

Get Recettear. Great fun little Japanese indie game. It's part dungeon crawler and part store simulation. It's got a really good sense of humor and is definitely worth it for the price.

I heard the DLCs were good (except for Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot) but the problem is the main game itself is a bore.

It's fun with friends, but if you're alone it does get really boring really fast.
I'm seeing people posting about buying games that aren't the daily specials. I'm just making this post as an "I Told You So" when you all start complaining that you bought a game before it became one of the daily deals.

It's more of a question about the consequences than just if it works. I know it works. It just seems iffy if you get entered into a contest to win a bunch of games, plus a bunch of game content.
Although, it's not like we're doing anything like getting the achievements without actually having the game. Plus you can request tickets by mailing Valve directly. I don't know though.
I'm sort of new to these big "Complete Packages". What happens if you already own one of the games in the packages? Do you get an extra copy on your account to give to a friend?
