They are laggy for me as well. So are the forums and the TF2 wiki. I feel that every time Valve has a sale all of their precautions and preparations for the incoming server load is never enough.
Is Spacechem worth picking up? I saw some gameplay and it looks really interesting, but I'm terrible with puzzle games.

It seems like the only real good thing is the Defense Grid prize and maybe the Killing Floor pack if you like the style of it. Now I need to actually buy those games to get anything worth it. The serious sam pack looks decent although I don't think anyone plays coop on that game anymore. Also friendly warning: don't get Alien Breed. Everyone says it sucks.

Change your download server... it's stuffed for most of the southern hemisphere. I changed mine to Sacramento and it worked fine. Then changed it back.

What else can we do with the tickets? I got the Killing Floor pack and the Alien Breed game. Still have two tickets left over... tomorrow will probably get more, since it looks like Super Meat Boy, Portal 2, L4D2, and a few others have been updated (probably with achievements).. so I am going to have all these tickets with nothing to spend them on. Yeah, Alien Breed kind of sucks. Alien Swarm is better and free, but if I have the tickets, I may as well get it.
Sunnies, don't really care about sunnies in TF2, but will probably pick them up.

For some reason my downloads manager says the Killing Floor update is the same size as the game itself. Same thing happened with CSS and Section 8 Prejudice not long ago for me.
