Holy shit, cant believe this. I had something like this setup when sc4 was just released, i didn't have internet so i played it for ages, i found a way how to hook up my friends laptop with SC4 on a network through lan and used batch file to copy all files from my saves into his and vice versa, obviously VCN's and stuff didn't even exist back then and i got so many corrupted files. Still it was satisfying figuring something like that out all by myself.

It does, but turn on Compatibility: Windows XP (Service Pack 3) and Administrator Access for the executable, and if you've got multiple cores, [b]turn off affinity for the executable in Task Manager[/b] (right click the process, Set Affinity..., tick only one of the boxes, OK) or you'll crash.

I'm on 7 64-bit and I actually turned off compatibility mode recently, and it still works perfectly fine. However, I did have it in compatibility mode for XP SP2 for a while, but it works fine without.
I have created my city, next to the other Swedish cities.
