Guys, you gotta fucking PM me if you're getting griefed. I have other shit to do besides watch this project like a retarded 7 year old. (Implying that I am caring for the child, not being the child; my wording sucks :<) Anyways, I saw this while checking the event logs. They're gone. Again FUCKING PM ME IF YOU SEE GRIEFERS FOR FUCKS SAKE [editline]6th July 2011[/editline] Oh, and if you want to mod your game, it's kinda a good idea to you know, post about the mod in the thread, or PM me so I can add it to the OP. Better to post about it in the thread first to get public opinions.
Binladen, Im appealing my ban on dropbox due to dropbox deleting files.
Binladen, Im appealing my ban on dropbox due to dropbox deleting files.
It's up to the people in the thread, agrees for let him back, disagrees for the obvious no. [editline]6th July 2011[/editline]
Wait... we were supposed to? Whoops.
Doesn't really matter much, but it's kinda to advertise good mods, and make it easier for people to see cool stuff in the mainland. [editline]6th July 2011[/editline] Lol FP and your post breaking.
I wish I could play SimCity 4 normally like you guys do, my cities always fail when I reach 10-20k population.:suicide:
Rate me agrees for dropbox failure!
Doesn't really matter much, but it's kinda to advertise good mods, and make it easier for people to see cool stuff in the mainland.
Well, I guess I mind as well, since I'm here: Rail-to-Subway Transition - Self explanatory, really. Road Top Mass Transit - Basically puts subway and bus stations on top of the roads instead of making them separate buildings. Really useful in large cities. SPAM - Large-scale agricultural overhaul (apparently). I have it downloaded but I haven't actually used it as of yet, so I don't know exactly how good/bad it is, but it looks pretty good. SAM - Street Addon Mod; basically gives streets different looks. Not really useful but can be aesthetically pleasing. "Realism" Mod - Pretty much just adds fences to suburbs; don't know why he calls it a realism mod. Comes in two parts. The link to the second part is in the link somewhere.
Something's gotta be fucking up for you, it works fine for me. Are you putting the link in My Documents or Program Files?
My Documents. Sigh. I'll give this a try on my XP machine.
So anyway I was working on my city trying to fix the sudden unenployment wave that had come over my city which I could not find any reason for(There were more jobs than houses) until it struck me that people from other cities I was connected to were stealing all the jobs. So I removed all the road links to other cities. And guess what? BOOM no more unemployment. My guess it that my city built a lot of $$$ buildings because of demand from other cities but my new small town didn't have the education to work at them causing half of the industries to be under employed while half the city was unemployed. So basically Don't link up to really well developed cities until you are at about the same level as them unless you want to get that city's demands in your town.
Binladen, Im appealing my ban on dropbox due to dropbox deleting files.
I am doing the same, as I had a similar issue. To much editing terrain to quickly across to many maps, along with several crashes led to a dropbox failure on my part and me "deleting" several files.
I am doing the same, as I had a similar issue. Does anyone know of a way to manually input the length of roads? Or a way to make the grid clearer. Edit: Just give them another chance. It's not like they can do any real damage as we can just restore anything that we loose.
This actually helps me because I get maximum demand for hi-tech right after starting. Basically forcing me to tear down all the $$$ buildings so that lower value buildings would be built.
The fact alone that it said both of you guys deleted the same exact cities, that also belonged to other people is very suspicious.
wat? I kept getting autonotifications saying X has been deleted. I assumed it was other people deleting their cities.

Mixing the two never works out well, always try to separate them.
Put together some of the mods I use. You have to register to download the mods from Simtropolis. I've downloaded and reuploaded the mods from simpeg.com for your ease-of-use. [release] Real Highway Mod The RealHighway Mod (RHW) (formerly Rural Highway) and Modular Interchange System (MIS) is an optional NAM component (downloaded separately) which utilizes an unfinished network Maxis left in the game ("Dirt Road") to create a modular highway and interchange system. Dependencies: NAM http://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/19188-realhighway-mod-for-windows/ [/release] [release] SimFox's Day n Night Mod This modd alters the look of both Day (slightly) and Night (in far more drastic fashion)view of the game. Days gain richer more natural looking shadows, greater overall contrast and better interaction of terrain and various models (in terms of shading). Nights are now much darker and less blue/purple. Yet unlike in some other similar modds they aren't completely black-hole, pitch black. The city, vegetation and terrain are all still visible in the night, albeit just so. http://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/23089-simfox-day-n-nite-modd/[/release] [release]Network Widening Mod he Network Widening Mod (NWM) is an optional NAM component (downloaded separately) which adds a series of variable width surface networks by extending the game's default Road and One-Way Road networks with special starter pieces. It adds 10 surface network extensions, including 5 single-tile and 5 dual-tile networks. Among these networks are the long-awaited Turning Lane Avenues, Medianless Avenues and additional widths of the One-Way Road network. It also includes a series of Wide-Radius Curve pieces for three of the single-tile networks, transition pieces, and neighbor connectors for selected networks. The game, as it progresses, actually is designed to kill off all desire and usefulness for farming. We changed all that. Not only have we changed how all the farms look... but we also changed how they play. Originally in a city, you could hug a tree... or kiss the sky with glass and steel. Now... you can do both. But then, as any schoolchild will tell you, Simlumbus set off to sail around the world in his three ships; the Simna, the Simta & the Santa Simria. He sailed off the edge, into the Abyss and was never heard from again. And that's why nothing is named after him today. With the modern invention of aviation and orthographic gaming views, we can now clearly see the edge of our world. Today, we never attempt to navigate beyond it without the protection of The Yellow Arrow. Some scientists... and far too many philosophers, have pondered as to what lies at the bottom of The Abyss. But even today, no one really knows and most of us just don't care. Capitalizing on this general uncaring spirit, Pegadyne Industries has developed the new Garbage Chute... a small & affordable refuse disposal system that simply tosses our trash over the side. Why allow it to pile up when we can just as easily chuck it into the Abyss? Oh sure, the environmentalists are all in a huff... claiming that the Abyss will be ruined for future generations. And of course, a few attorneys have filed lawsuits claiming to represent the 'Denizens of The Abyss'. But the primary concern has been focused on what actually happens to the trash. One popular theory is that it simply burns up in the fires of Hell. But federally subsidized research, supported by historic maps that clearly state that "Here There Be Dragons...", indicates that these dragons consider garbage to be a 'delicacy' and delightfully gobble it up with no complaint. These lots must be placed on the edge of your city for proper appearance. The Garbage Chute will actually hang off the edge of the city map. The lot is transit enabled and must be connected to your road network. Unlike the standard landfill which piles up garbage until its full, the Garbage Chute gets rid of garbage permanently. However, there is a monthly limit as to how much garbage the chute can dispose of. Multiple chutes will likely be required for cities with larger populations. The use of Recycling plants and passing certain city ordinances can reduce the amount of trash that is produced. Download[/release] [release]PEG Geothermal Power Plant The time has come to clean up your act. Specifically... you now have access to clean, affordable and realistic power for your cities. Its time to stop burning those fossil fuels and irradiating the gene pool and start developing GeoThermal Power Plants in all your cities. Geothermal energy is abundant... and renewable. The process involves using either direct steam or high-pressure hot water from underground to power steam turbines... which in turn power electric generators. The steam is then condensed back to liquid and pumped back underground where it is super heated to be used again... repeatedly... forever. This is not science fiction. Geothermal power plants are in use today throughout the world. This 5x4 power plant has all the costs, power output and other properties of a game-default coal fired power plant... but virtually none (1-3%) of the associated pollution. In fact, the only real pollution generated here is when the roach coach rolls in on 2-for-1 burrito day. This is not a conditional power plant and is always available. Its the cheapest source of power ($0.04 cents per MegaWatt Hour [MWh], in-game) and the cleanest now available. For bringing power to your cities, Geothermal should not only be your first choice... but your only choice! Loosely based on the hospital in my home town of Aalesund, Norway. It is often referred to as the "SSMR", an abbreviation of "Sentralsjukehuset i More & Romsdal" (The Central Hospital of More & Romsdal Region). This is my first attempt at BAT, and there are lot of things I would have done differently from the start if I had the knowledge I have now after finishing it. The Lot is transit enabled for roads. Just drag a road from the edge of the lot to the parking garage. It's pretty self explanatory where it goes. Only annoyance about excellent mods is usually the goddamn DEPENDENCIES. Especially if they have to be hunted together from three different sites.
Just uploaded Los Fornia's. Please people, don't delete it. Its the last version I have of it since the other one got deleted.

Where ever the largest concentration of cities is will have the screenshots. But Priori told me he'd be doing all the screenshots and stuff, takes a bit off of my stuff to do :D Thanks priori :h: Also, posting pictures of your city, fully developed is welcomed :D.

I posted the autosaver priori linked in the OP a while back.
