Well first I have to render every single stupid city by hand and then save it as I imported it from SC4Terraformer and it looks like shit until you render it. So, give me a day-afterall... Im paying for this bandwidth.
I don't imagine you're going to import the already-existing cities from Facepunchia, correct?
I don't imagine you're going to import the already-existing cities from Facepunchia, correct?
If you want your city imported, import it yourself, its not very hard at all. This is a new region we are going to be using as the old one causes crashes do to confliction, and corruption. Anyways, we're going to take a vote on which region to use... First off is Mount Russell, based off satellite data from an area in British Columbia which contains lots of water, and mountains etc. [thumb]http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/3629/russellz.jpg[/thumb] Second off is plain flat land, but the advantage with this one is it can hold more cities. Hurry up and choose so I can upload the files.
I need some input otherwise this wont happen.
mountain map [editline]23rd July 2011[/editline] the one above
Hey, I've never posted in this thread, but I might get involved sometime in the future if you use that mountain map. It's certainly a lot more interesting than the regular old flatmap.
First off is Mount Russell, based off satellite data from an area in British Columbia which contains lots of water, and mountains etc.
What if we run out of room in that region?
What if we run out of room in that region?
Exactly, that is the issue.
Exactly, that is the issue.
if the pre terraformed map is too small then go with a flat map i guess
if the pre terraformed map is too small then go with a flat map i guess
Ugh, I guess FLAT is the best solution.
Ugh, I guess FLAT is the best solution.
Whatever gets it online fastest!
Ugh, I guess FLAT is the best solution.
Well, in theory, we could extend the pre-terraformed region by editing the region configuration if it fills up. However, the new land would be flat unless we could find a way to stitch another pre-terraformed region to it.
So tomorrow or the day after were going to have a terraformed region?
Okay, its settled. Flat terrain... should I make a new thread... as the process will be alot different. I have EVERYTHING setup so far.
i say new thread
Okay... if everybody is okay with it I'll go ahead and start work on a OP. Modified OP is up at http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1110238-Facepunch-Sim-City-4-Collab-V2 I'm looking for someone to make a text banner for it... pm me
