Well, every game sells a lot of copies at first, but then stalls and drops into oblivion as nobody talks about it and everyone leaves to play something else.
With the sales and the achievements, steam is giving them much more exposition and that's really cool.
I mean, AI Wars for example dropped a lot in price, but thanks to that achievement and to the new lower place, a bunch of people will buy it.
It's a really good thing, actually. I like how steam is being a little bit more indie friendly. :D
