I didn't post mine yet. I've been editing for the past several days still. I didn't even get the greenscreen clips from my friend until yesterday and it turns out he didn't know you need even lighting on the cloth to get the effect, so that's been fun to key out. I'm exporting now and uploading after I check through it and make sure it's alright.
Yours looks amazing though. I'd be surprised if you didn't win.

I was surprised more videos didn't do something like showing the aging of the maps by taking a screenshot in Portal and then showing the same chamber in it's Portal 2 version.

Thanks! I always appreciate comments. And about the storyline, we kind of wanted to look into the possibility of Rattmann and Chell meeting. Although in the video they do not meet. the scenes where they are walking towards each other represents them coming closer and closer, then then ending is undetermined for the viewer to decide what happened to them [if it wasn't all a psychotic dream that is ;)]

That was actually really good, but I recommend filming with a better camera next time. The quality can really make the mix with the in-game scenes look a bit weird, and its just easier to edit with a high def camera.

When I first watched this, I thought, "Wow, this guy has some really nice cinematography here, I think he may-"
Then the video reached past 55 seconds. I was amused, but disappointed by the final choice of direction in the video.

Yeah I don't have an HD camera yet, and one of my other friends was gonna help with it and we were gonna use his camera, but he bailed on us so we were stuck with like, a week left and a standard definition camera.

The compositing and CG paint is fantastic, I seriously wondered if he was actually laying down paint at first. I only wish that the camera-work was more stabilized, but that also put power towards making the paintings seem believable.
I hear your woes on rotoscoping. It's time-consuming enough against an un-keyable background in a studio environment. I'd imagine it to be even more difficult in an uncontrolled environment.
Out of curiosity, what'd you use for motion-tracking?

A bunch of the shots are the basic after effects tracker. But for some of the hard ones ( like the running in the first painting ) I used a 3d tracker called voodoo. And we did use a rudimentary steadycam that I made, but we kind of wanted slightly shaky footage. Although looking back some of the shots are a bit too shaky.
