The password changing system has only worked once each on the two internet connections I've used. I'm lead to believe it's only letting us process one account and we have to call the customer support fags to do more.
If you are aware of a way to get around this, it would be nice. Especially considering I still have 2 accounts to give away. (And don't message me about them until I get them, because I will just put you on ignore list)
tried deleting cookies for SOE ect...
no luck.
[editline]30th May 2011[/editline]
perhaps you literally have to wait 24 hours before you can do the next one.
I had to change 3 of my passwords until I found the right account, worked fine for me. It'll say Your password has been reset once successful, so you can sit there and guess all day, until you get that message, you were wrong
Though after changing one of them, I did have to close Firefox to be able to actually login
The NC Gauss rifle does more damage than the other assault rifles. For the others it takes 13 bullets to kill a rexo from max (iirc). For the gauss it's 9 or 10. The gauss does shoot a bit slower and only has 30 round mag though, but then that's why the NC get the Jackhammer. NC just min-max everything like true power gamers, lol.
I hate you. I know that my Cycler, while sounding nice and being very accurate, does chickenshit for damage. Should I be using AP ammo instead of the regular Ammo? I always thought, against infantry, AP was pretty shit
Anybody have a spare account?
My old one is gone and I'm trying to get it back but it has taken almost 2 weeks for them to reply.

Nope, I actually tested this. Despite the fact infantry have armor and then health, AP ammo does less damage to their armor than normal ammo. So normal ammo works best against infantry all the time, and naturally AP ammo does more damage to vehicles all the time. This includes MAX suits. Even if you deplete all their armor before attacking their health, they will still die faster to AP ammo than they will to normal ammo (MAX suits count as vehicles for most damage purposes).
AP ammo is meant to be used against MAX units and light vehicles (Harassers, Mosquitos, etc.)
Regular 9mm ammo is for infantry targets (or if you have the TR chaingun, the hail of lead will be able to do good damage to MAX units too)
I hate the TR Chaingun so much.
You shouldn't be able to snipe with something like that.
u mad cause we stylin' on you?
Yes!
Found my account info!
[release] Caution, huge fucking WoT inbound[/release]
seeing as I can't play right now I will reminisce about the old fun time.
I had founded my own little squad thing the VS and had about 4-5 people with me.
I was using medium armour with a guy wearing MAX with anti infantry load-out another medium and two lights.
I spawned a galaxy (i like support roles, usefulness without skill) while the other guy bought a mosquito (to cover us)
We flew to an NC facility which was on our borders but completely deserted for some reason.
Or so we thought...
On the way there we were attacked by another mosquito. Our escort came under fire and had to bail some distance from the target area but out tail-gunner shot down the offender so he survived.
I pulled the galaxy into a nosedive and told everyone to bail out (the aim was to leave no trace of our arrival.)
Little did we know, we were gazed upon by many unseen eyes.
I had my first inkling when I though I saw someone on the battlements, but dismissed it as me being paranoid. So we proceeded into the facility and began to make our way to the command core.
As we made our way down, we found out our man flying the mosquito had been killed, although by what we had no idea. (We missed our chance to look at the killcons.)
It was tense, we could feel someone watching us but we could not see anything.
Then
suddenly
from out of nowhere a guy with stealth gear jumped us and nearly killed one of the guy's in light armour. The MAX managed to put him down but we knew we had to act quickly, as he would be back with re-enforcements.
We made it to the command panel and began the hack and takeover, but our ordeal was just beginning.
More stealth suits came at us, we were unsure if there were several or just a couple who kept moving very fast. Either way they took out our medium and finished off the light. At this point we were really jumpy, the MAX kept firing his weapon off randomly and we all had our backs to the corners.
Then something happened. A few enemy aircraft appeared on the radar, just as i had feared they had returned with re-enforcements.
However, global VS chatter mentioned something about them moving out to the very base we were in. This gave us a renewed sense of hope.
Just in time too, another stealth guy burst in on us, but luckily we took him down before he could do any major harm. Then a couple of Rexos came in, all guns blazing. We fought back, hard. We were so close to taking this facility i wasn't about to loose it now! In the crossfire our MAX was killed and both me and the reaming light were severely wounded. We counld not survive another attack.
It was then we saw another enemy aircraft coming in to land.
However, it vanished almost immediately. We assumed the pilot had bailed and it had hit a wall.
We were wrong once more. A fleet of VS fighter craft flew across the minimap. Followed by two galaxies, a lodestar some buggies and a tank or two.
within a few moment the facility was swarming with our fellow VS brothers. their commanders piled into the command centre and we finished the takeover.
We then set about priming our defences, in the meantime, more of our allies spawned and geared up.
Many of them got into various transports and moved on to the next base but our squad stayed behind and bolstered the defensive.
We took over half the planet in the space of an hour.
Installing.

NC character: Simir
We should make a FP squad, at least for those in NC atm.
Made a squad named Facepunch NC Squad, Though I can't really be sure who's from facepunch but I'll try to accept "Applications".

Someone just tried joining but the window dissepeared right after....

It is a game in which skill always trumps any magic combination of equipment; believe me, I've tried.
Unless you use the TR Chaingun
Can someone make an FP NC group for steam? Or can someone at least share the names of people with outfit invite capabilities?

There's a steam group for The Increment, could do the job.
Has anyone else found a way around the "We're sorry, we are unable to proceed. Please restart the Reset Password flow to try again." issue?
Could someone add me to The Increment? My username is Mikesword221

What about the Lasher? Rapid fire and absurd splash damage. :v:
Downloading right now with my buddy at 3mb/s, this is going to be a major nostalgia trip. :buddy:
So how do you get vehicles from other empires?
Seems like us NC guys are having one hell of a time trying to organize.
On a random note, Are Black Ops still around? Haven't seen any terrified yells over command chat since I started playing this time around.
I'm online as NC (Viper010) I could use an outfit invite or a squad
This has been added to OP. If everyone follows the instructions happiness may be the result!

[editline]31st May 2011[/editline]
What do you guys think about the likelyhood of getting 10 non-outfit people together at once?
I think we should try to organize something, like maybe a Galaxy Gunship run or something. Shouldn't be too hard considering you only need 4 people to fully man one side of the GG plus the pilot and tail gunner.
So how do you get vehicles from other empires?
You have to hack the vehicle I believe.
It either that or you hack the terminal of an enemy base.

As far as I know, if you hack enemy terminals you can only make your vehicles.
An expert or advanced hacker can use their REK to hack into vehicles, advanced hackers can only do it to empty ones and expert hackers can do it to both manned and unmanned vehicles, although it's generally not a good idea to point your little hacking tool at a tank when there's a guy in it. :v:
I'm confused. I have an SOE account and I've got the game installed, so would I be able to play? I've never had a subscription before.
[editline]31st May 2011[/editline]
Hmm crap, I guess I can't. I tried subscribing a few months back and it's seriously messed up. I spent hours talking to a rep who in the end said jack all, I can't subscribe. So I guess I can't now :sigh:
okay so starting to play this game is a massive clusterfuck i just made a sony station account where do i go from now beacuse most of the links on that sound results in 404's
okay so starting to play this game is a massive clusterfuck i just made a sony station account where do i go from now beacuse most of the links on that sound results in 404's
Exactly what happened to me. I spoke to a rep for ages and he said there is no way I can subscribe, he said he'd get someone to fix the links that were 404'ed but obviously nothing has been done.
we basicly we cant play this game at all beacuse they cant be assed to fix their subscription stuff?
If you have a previous subscription it's incredibly easy, I'm not sure about how actually subscribing now is though.
All I did was fish out my old account details, download Station, put in a new password, and start downloading Planetside. :frown:
