I just had an interesting idea where we would use those old design docs and try to incorperate what ever we can into STALKER SHoC until S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. That way when STALKER 2 is released we have a new game to play and the new players to the series who buy SHoC will have a pretty sweet mod waiting for them after they play the game

I have a really hard time imagining how I would feel if I had started the series with Call of Pripyat and from there on moved to ShoC and CS.
Especially how the games are so different from each other it almost like switching genres. Hell, they might as well be :

Yeah, just got done reading it. The whole document sent chills down my spine and I feel that Shadow of Chernobyl would've been the Game of the Decade for me if that sort of stuff was in the end product.
This is even better than the Anarchy Cell design document.

It's kind of funny when they say that there are 100-150 stalkers in the Zone in summer 2011 because in Clear Sky, you'll kill at least double that amount even if you don't do any faction wars :v: .
Hopefully Lost Alpha will be able to bring back some of that stuff and give for example the Controller the power to manipulate stalkers and command zombies.

It' remained as one of the false endings though.
However, some things from the early concepts are plain awesome: the Controllers actually controlled zombies, so they could just [I]stare[/I] at you until the controller notices you. And zombies were insanely hard to kill, so it was "cripple the fucker and run before he regenerates".

Okay so I'm wondering what equipment I should be carrying in clear sky. I have 150kgs weight limit becuase I'm not taking complete mod very seriously and I'm basically just playing for the plot until I get TFW, so I was wondering what I should be hauling around?
I currently have
~15 Health kits, 40 Bandages and 15 AntiRad
-10 Vodka and tinned meat
-1500 5.45x39 ammo (I'm not sure if I got the name right, basically the ammo for the AKS 72/U)
-3x Silencers (Including attached to weapons)
-2 Susat Scopes + 1 PSO scope
-Akaban (IGN: Obokan)
-LR300
-300 Nato rounds
- CS3 Body armour
- TOZ 34 (The long one with the over the top double barrel)
-100 Buckshot rounds
I think that's about it. Also what upgrades should I apply to my LR300? Currently my Okoban (silly name) is focused on long range combat and's on single fire, just because I can click rapid fire better than the double shot and automatic firing modes when I need to.
My god I'm playing CS and is there any way to make this shit autosave?

Hm, IDK really, it only autosaved what, twice for me and I'm at the dark valley at the moment. I guess you'll just have to save more often, complete has a quick-permanant save feature so I sort of use that with regular quicksaves to ensure my safety. Also, equipment tips?

Oh :v:. Also whats the deal with health in this game? I had to use 9 bandages (All I had) just to stop bleeding.
I think it's a glitch, I can use one and sometimes I don't bleed at all. I'm also playing on veteran so it's doubly weird.

It's a feature of CS. I've always played on Master, get scratched by a loose twig, have to apply 20 bandages.

fuck sakes, this is not what I needed to stumble upon at 2am.
I think I encountered the awesomest fail in stalker I have ever experienced. I was with duty (Yea once I'm done with the main quest relating to them I'm gonna stab em in their sleep.)
I was at the bit where a bloodsucker rushes us and yells while crouching over his body, but I was emptying a TRS 301 clip into him while he was doing it, and before he could finish he and the dutiers body flew into the air spazzing out. Wtf?
also, if I just open fire on duty do I fail the main quest or something? I want to join freedom and they've agreed to tell me when I can join, what happens if I go hostile on them after I finish the main quest missions.

Man, I wish they'd take the profits from the STALKER trilogy and make what they originally envisioned for SOC.
