How do I install AMK SE? I downloaded and extracted it and I was left with a gamedata folder, which contents include folders called config, textures, etc. But My SoC folder doesn't have any of these folders to replace.
Place the gamedata folder in your stalker folder (where other folders like bin are located)

you place it in the same folder that the bin folder is in. [editline]4th July 2011[/editline] :ninja:
Ah there was no readme so I was slightly confused. So do I just launch Stalker like normal now or do I have to do anything to make the mod work?
It should work from there, start a new game though, you can't load old saves. For other people: isn't the fsgame.ltx edit pretty redundant? I remember forgetting to do it and nothing happened, mods worked just fine.

It isn't needed for lurk, either.
Oh, all you happy people who can run AMK:SE...
Why wouldn't you be able to?
Why wouldn't you be able to?
he has 128mb ram
Dunno, it just crashes on startup. Whatever, I'm playing LURK and calling it a day.
No new stalker dreams :(.
I had one once, but it was somewhat confused. Want to hear it?
Yes.
Alright, so I "wake up" in this apartment on the 5th floor of a building. It must be Pripjat, because no other place in the Zone has buildings that high, IIRC. However, I hear a voice saying "Get up, Lizard. We need to go.". Nobody has ever called me Lizard in my entire life, but I somewhat know it's my Stalker name. This young man called Verad (also never known anyone with that name, but apparently we're close friends) puts up his hoodie, grabs his backpack and SMG and waits for me. I can only see his eyes due to the cloth that covers his face; they're ice-like light blue. We're both wearing Rookie jackets but he seems to know what he's doing. As for me, I feel unexperienced, but also like if I were born for this shit. I pick up my gun (some sort of weird Sten-based abomination, with a pistol grip and a long, thin barrel without the original shroud) and look out the window. It has snowed, everything is white. I pick up some things scattered around the floor, put them in the backpack and we get down the stairs. We walk alone through a long, straight road with that eerie thin layer of snow under our boots. The rest of the dream was pretty boring, with us exploring the empty city, me shooting a mutated rat (the only other living thing we saw) and so on.
Sounds kind of like a usual day in CoP.
However, something was unsettling about that city. It wasn't the Pripjat I saw in the games or photos. It felt like a place I've been in real life but, you know, with living things inside, no anomalies, or mutants, or radiation, or Stalkers.

Now I just need to find a way to re-build the gun I had in that dream. Fuck, if only gunsmithing wan't illegal in my country... Time to move in the fucking US, dammit.
Ok so I am in AMK:SE. So what is new in this? How do I use this Stalker Network thing I heard about?
Pseudodong
Do many other peoрle get S.T.A.L.K.E.R. dreams? I love videogame dreams especially stalker ones, they're fucking awesome. The best one, and only one I remember clearly: I was sent by a trader to go to some underground, similar to the one in Agroprom, to find an artifact, but the problem is that the Mercs were looking for the artifact too. I decided to go anyway, because it's a dream and I'm FEARLESS in my dreams. The underground was full of mutants, most notably Bloodsuckers, on which I wasted all of my ammo. I found the artifact, and went for the exit. On the surface I found 10 mercs and their helicopter. I killed one of them with a knife, took his Groza, searched his body for grenades and ammo. Then I killed all the mercs, and shot the helicopter down with the Groza's grenade launcher. When I woke up and felt really sad because it was just a dream, and went on with my regular, non-badass life.
I wish I had STALKAN dreams.
I don't get dreams but if I played it all day. It's all I can think about when I go to bed. It's kind of a half-dream
I should get stalkan dreams because every night when I can't get sleep, I'm continuing in a my imagination the story of 5 loners and their adventures in the Zone. It doesn't really involve a lot of shooting and killing though, it's mostly them telling each other bits of the Zone lore while they're travelling to some destination and they never really get anywhere. I used to have S.T.A.L.K.E.R dreams but now I haven't had them in a long while .
Okay first things first, Ive played quite of few Stalker mods in my time - AMK, LURK, OL - hell even Complete for ShoC, Ive even gone through the likes of SGM, Redux and Reloaded... But never in my time have I been truly challenged like the way PRIPYATAN has. Starting off a few feet away from an anomaly field. - Fine Being caught between Military and Zombies engaging each other with about 2 dozen on each side. - Avoidable. Having a Chimera chase you through an anomaly field back into the Zombie infested sawmill to hide in a building only to have 3 Burers and a pack of Snorks already waiting inside ready to tear you shit to pieces... Well call me a sadist but I like where this is going. :q: (RIP my sweet emote) Its also a very nice looking mod too if I may say so myself.
I get dreams sometimes. Lovely SKS dreams. And As Val dreams. [editline]5th July 2011[/editline]
:q: (RIP my sweet emote)
http://sae.tweek.us/
