Welp, I gave up recording right when I started. I load my autosave, first thing I see? "Lost in the Zone". Not even a gunshot or a groan. Just the death screen.

I died frequently but I learned from my mistakes, and when I succeeded I was very pleased with myself, even patting myself on the back when I saved one of my allies from being molested by Freedom. And mind you, I HAD all of that great stuff, up to this point. Everything was working beautifully, I was doing fine with my armor, even have an extra set just in case, and I brought the scientist suit in case I needed defense against anomalies and Radiation. Also, I made it a personal goal to beat the game without artifacts. It's just a shame that the instant I get into that damn basement, the Scientist suit decides to cease functioning. I'm fine with dying from the guns, I've always managed to win with just the Sci-suit, but when my Duty armor gives me more protection from Rad than my Sci-Suit, there's an issue. It's not that it's broken either, it worked beautifully right before I went under.

Go for the exo suit inside the monolith hq, I think it gives off some rad protection.

This is not the USA, we get no CCW or Open carry, if you stroll around the streets with a gun you get fucking arrested.

Get Fang's Exo, you can actually sprint with it. Also include about 2000 rounds of ammo, you WILL need it.

So I just ported CoP's dynamic music system to CS..I'm pretty sure I broke more things than it added :haw:

So what's the 'best' mod in your opinions for Call of Pripyat? I want to play STALKER again but I need something new to keep my interest. I like realism by the way. I remember LURK was absolutely incredible when that came out.

This mod is unforgiving... it starts you off right by the area with all the zombies, you fire one shot and every zombie instantly starts firing at you even through walls. You don't start with a suit either. Yeah, the military sent you into the Zone with a T-shirt on.
