The contrast between the CS and SoC Rostok was supposed to be huge, but one of the devs probably slipped in the studio and spilled vodka all over the hard drive containing it and the Pripyat Underpass, so they just said that it got cut off by anomalies and called it a day.

Or they were just too lazy to bother to remake it and the Great Emission was a useful excuse ;)

And no, I don't have it, I was viewing it from the internet.

So which game has the most Freedom (Not the faction :v:) and Mod-ability? While I loved SoC, it wasn't exactly open and free. Same thing with the mods. While there were great ones (Complete and the such), I've been seeing these absolutely beautiful and tooth pullingly hard games that you're all playing, and I want in on that. Is CoP a good choice?

Is CoP a good choice?[/QUOTE] CoP is probably the most open and free, you feel a lot less forced to follow the main quests and the side quests are much better than 'find the mutant parts'. Why did you capitalise freedom?

Not sure why I did honestly. To break it down, I want freedom (or atleast some freedom), pretty graphics be it from mods or anything else (I'm not graphics whore, but I do like the eyecandy.), and I want to have some awesome experiences in the zone.

By awesome, I meant fucking ridiculous, by the way.

LURK makes the game (SoC) prettier and adds more missions, but I don't know if that would fall under the purview of adding more "freedom". The main quest is pretty much the same.

Not as fun as SoC, but better than CS. The game definitely has the most freedom, it has 3 big open areas rather than 10 more linear feeling and smaller ones.

So is it CoP, SoC, or CS that you all have your awesome experiences in?

You can have awesome expiriences in any game, it's just that it's all random.
