Or they could be kept away by light.
LAAAAAME, they are creepy block-movers, not some sort of wild animal that fears fire. Ender Ichor would be like putting an enemy's head on a pike; it shows them that you won't tolerate what they're doing to your territory.
good think I make my mines 2x1, if one happens to be in it, i can look at it, then place one block on the ceiling. Then, walk backwards while holding right click so it pretty much seals it in.
And if it can crawl?
A weeping angel concept sounds pretty good to me.
And if it can crawl?
then fuck me sideways because my mines are now 100% scarier.

He said they can teleport. You are no longer safe anywhere.
Couldn't you just walk up to them and kill them without looking away?
what if there come in packs and you accidentally circle really fast
Couldn't you just walk up to them and kill them without looking away?
That would probably cause something not too different from walking into a spotlight in the first level of Snake's Revenge. Instant anal rape. Can you imagine? Millions of Farlanders rushing you for the kill.
it's funny because they're just about the opposite of the weeping angels.
it's funny because they're just about the opposite of the weeping angels.
Freeze when you look at them, run towards you when you aren't. How is that the opposite of the angels?
Freeze when you look at them, run towards you when you aren't. How is that the opposite of the angels?
huh. pretty amazing that i managed to think about that for a while without seeing that.
I think they're just there for scariness and they'll mostly observe, build demonic altars to Cthulhu or attack indirectly(building traps, taking pieces of your wall for their buildings).A jet-black eldritch beast from god knows where wouldn't really fit in with the simply evil monsters that normally prowl about at night.
Agreed. If the Endermen were implemented in this way, they'd probaby be the most terrifying things in the game yet. Sure, the current monsters are scary, but it's an aggressive scary. Like, you know their sole purpose is to hurt you. But the Endermen are much more enigmatic. They're quiet. They're calculating. You don't know what the fuck they're planning to do. And the fact that they could build structures makes them all the more frightening. It's like they're the natives of Minecraft's land, and they worship these malevolent pagan gods. Shit's scary bro.
All I worry about now is the Aether being officially implemented...
A weeping angel concept sounds pretty good to me.
That concept is getting pretty unoriginal in my opinion. Notch just said all that to scare us, I mean, don't you remember the locked chests and the "deleted herobrine" phrase when he removed the human.
I will run around trapping them in boxes and start beating them with sticks.
Couldn't you just walk up to them and kill them without looking away?
Notice how there's a pack of them? Without a bow, I'm not sure you could get close enough to hit one without turning away form the others. And they very well may be able to teleport if you get too close, maybe like the Slenderman mob mod that was out back in like 1.2 that never was updated from there.
I wonder what kind of noises they will make. Waffleman suddenly comes to mind...
God damn it, I was just getting over creepers near the sides of my door in the morning, now I have to worry about my door being completely gone and then an endermen staring at me.

... and now someone needs to make a SPC warehouse in minecraft.
They could be Jeb's super scary mob!
I was just about to come in and bitch about how useless it is to have a creepy passive mob, but then I read that they stop being peaceful after you look straight at them. I've gotta admit, it sounds like they'll be pretty cool.
Imagine if notch added a painting of them, and when you looked away from it, and back at it, it would be replaced by one. :suicide:
Imagine if notch added a painting of them, and when you looked away from it, and back at it, it would be replaced by one. :suicide:
Would be amazing if they made human like settlements, with pictures and everything. And exploring a seemingly empty one would result in finding that kind of painting.
I wonder if they take down torches?
IF they are what we are speculating, then they will be the most outright terrifieng thing in minecraft.... Bulding alters to their crazed warp gods, destroying your city to build their messed up Daemonic hell world... THAT WOULD BE FUCKING AWESOME! :suicide:
I wonder if they take down torches?
Oh, yes! It's scary enough in a dark tunnel deep underground on your own, now these things are going to be lurking as well? I hope they can't climb walls. Oh Jesus, look up!
I wonder if they take down torches?
Imagine you've been exploring a cave for 20 minutes and now you want to turn around and leave. Only to find out you're torches have been removed and you've been exploring the same area over and over again!

If somebody was caught griefing, we would screw with them and ban them later. This included removing torches, covering the exit of their caves, spawning mobs near them, and other general stuff. All while invisible, of course. Does this make me an Enderman?
