I can kill most tanks with one shot.
Then comes along an halftrack, supposedly armored by tinfoil and it's immune to my bullets.
Is this just a matter of memorizing where their ammo racks are?
Weak points on tanks in RO are generally around the middle of the side, or the direct center of the front.
I'll be hosting one when it comes out as my post on the first page says.
Probably for RCP though, but i'll post it here.
I meant for RO, but RO:HOS is good too.
Dangit, I have to get RO now.
I meant for RO, but RO:HOS is good too.
I had one for DH before, hosting a new one now is pointless :v:
Germany is always victorious :science:

Not on the castle map. If the Russians just hand out the MG's to like five people its impossible for the Germans to win.
Just got RO:OST, what should I do the first time I play?

Just found this, nevermind.

He sounds so enthusiastic.
Play rifleman and learn the basics. Dont play any other class for a few days as you wanna learn how to play using 1shot 1kill methods rather than relying on an smg which you will use less often.
Hope that helps
I was just playing on some tank map, oh god it was fun. I had to hop out of my panther because the engine was out, so I ran into the nearby woods. I found a MP40 and started randomly using the insult command at the enemy tanks hiding. I got 2 kills by getting Drivers and Commanders that popped out of their viewports, but got eventually ran over by an IS-2. The driver hopped out and started to look at my corpse, but got killed by a Tiger's hull MG. I think I will be playing this game for a long time.....
I was having tons of fun in the 29th server on Darkest Hour the other night. We played a snowy forest map, and the allies pushed us up to the very last defensive line, covering two artillery guns.. Our whole team in trenches/a few small bunkers, tanks and british soldiers trying to flank us left and right.. It was intense but we had a very strong defense and we were victorious!
It always makes me laugh to go into a server only to find a 40 year old splerging about how swearing is a bannable offence, especially when their name has a rank in it.
I shotted a commander looking out of an hatch with a 14.5mm in the face.
He deflected it with his goggles.

that's the sad thing about games like RO, you get these 30+ year old guys with no lives who are either ex-military or wish they could be and so they take it super cereal
I find it more hilarious on tank maps how there's always at least one person who shouts about not being able to hear anything every time anyone talks.

Yeah it's stupid how legs and shit can be blown off and you kill people brutally.
but saying fuck is suddenly harming to kids and is worse than hacking
For me, it isn't enough to just shoot back at a sniper.
I have to use an Anti-Tank rifle to kill him. :smug:

Lace Mamba Global and 1C Company continue partnership
The English publisher Lance Mamba Global says that Red Orchestra 2 will be released in August 2011, at least in Great Britain and Australia.

but if its true.. fucking august!? i expected at least early summer.. :saddowns:
Bump...
Any news on the beta? Really looking forward to this game. Bought the 1st one blindly when it came out. Just cause I was upset with Call of Duty 2. I was not disappointed with Red Orchestra.

Well on the latest post on the official steam group which was posted on april 23 they have said they are close to the beta. Here is the full post if you want to read it.
After a short break while Alan spent time in the UK, he is back with more rablings about the inner workings of Tripwire Interactive!
Well, as mentioned, we had a few problems with the a/c this week. Compressor apparently burned out and had to be replaced. Temp was up around 85 outside, so we were frying inside - hence the sudden rash of "portable" a/c units. Hopefully all fixed now, so I'll run by the office later to check. Apart from that, yes, we enjoyed the rather brief trip back to the UK.
So - what have we been up to at work, apart from melting? Hit a nice big deadline last weekend, so people can begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The whole Portal 2 ARG beast chewed up a fair amount of time over the last few weeks as well - all good fun, though! Starting to free up artists now, so they can be working on "other stuff" for the summer. Does this mean the RO2 beta is getting closer? Well, of course We know everyone has been waiting a long time - but that is the trouble with a "small" company like Tripwire. Just getting everything done is a challenge!
Apart from people busting their balls on RO2, we've got people working on more goodies for KF - we haven't forgotten you guys! There should be another announcement or two on The Ball coming soon - another Tripwire/Teotl adventure. And Dwarfs is close to release, which should give people some light-hearted fun (and gameplay that ranges up to the downright difficult and challenging for those who like it that way). For those who played the old Dwarfs beta (or saw it at PAX) - you won't believe how much the guys have added to the game!
But RO2: yes, close to the first phase of beta now. Won't be many more Saturdays before we are chatting about that. Finalizing script for the v/o for the single-player campaigns. Tweaking Countdown gametype, both to suit the clan players (setting it up so we can be sure it is perfectly balanced) and to work well in the MP campaign. And starting to get the final PR campaign organised... the fun! We should probably run a poll or something on when people think the F&F beta will start! "Soon"
Also to the guy above talking about the release date, I wouldn't trust anything yet until it's officially from Tripwire, and it's not like you wouldn't have total access until that time as the beta is nearing its release.
I'm so glad Tripwire abandoned UE2.5. All games made on that have horrible mouse support and some hardware acceleration issues.
August? ahagauygha

Hngng 29th server
I was banned from the 29th. I think it was because my friend and I were acting like Homosexual Military Sergeants. "OOO, YOU BOYS BETTER RECAPTURE THAT POINT OR YOUR GOING TO GET A GOOD ASS POUNDING!"
They couldn't even take a joke. And the TWB server for Darkest Hour never has people in it. So I just play Vanilla.
huehgueghehguehghebgheghhehgeyuguehg don't swear on my server even though this game is rated M for mature, soldiers swore erryday in ww2, and half of the british voice commands have swears in them

Sometime Q3 is what I remember hearing last.

You could turn down the violence and swearing though, but you can't stop players swearing.
