Everything looks amazing......You know except for the bots, but who gives a shit about that.
The bots were terrible in RO1, but the Tripwire guys have said they can actually play a bit now
Everything looks amazing......You know except for the bots, but who gives a shit about that.
He told the bots are a lot better than that on the above video, they really acted like the "Very easy" bots from red orchestra 1 so that might be true.
Easily the thing I'm looking forward to the most this year \o/ Tripwire know how to treat us PC gamers right <3
I'll buy definitely buy this and BF3 this year!
This, BF3, Planetside: Next... life is good for FPS gamers this year
I'm surprised more people aren't creaming after the constant bitching about battlefield being consolized. This game will kick ass.
yeah, thats one thing to mention is that currently Tripwire has no plans to release this on consoles Im pretty sure though that the bad companies were supposed to be for consoles and battlefield 3 was more for the pc again, at least thats what i'd heard, still funny them listing prone as a feature
I'm glad that they're adding in iron sight zoom this time. In RO1 any engagement beyond around 150 meters was a pixel-hunting contest where the guy with the highest resolution screen wins.
tried the first one, couldn't get into it
this one is supposed to be easier to get into also updated OP with lots of video
this one is supposed to be easier to get into also updated OP with lots of video
You may want to add a different trailer. I got that stupid copyright shit and can't view in your country thing.
You may want to add a different trailer. I got that stupid copyright shit and can't view in your country thing.
changed the trailer to the one from tripwire's account
I really hope this dosn't turn out like Oblivion. The devs promised all this incredible stuff for the game, and when we actually played it: "I ran into a couple of mudcrabs the other day. Nasty things." :smithicide:
Alright just a quick thought about the morale system. How well do you guys would something where your players hands start to shake, etc. when he get scared work?
Alright just a quick thought about the morale system. I don't think I'd like it though, If your team is doing bad you don't need more stuff to mess you up
it'd probably work just fine as it would mess your aim up. I don't think I'd like it though, If your team is doing bad you don't need more stuff to mess you up
Imagine what would go on in a tank if morale was low.
Imagine what would go on in a tank if morale was low.
:raise: ... :gonk:
About what I just said, if your morale is low in a tank, and you bail out for no good reason, even when you can easily take whatever is opposing you, I will be slightly disappointed. What if your partner tank gets taken out by an AT soldier, and you just bail out because of that? [editline]14th February 2011[/editline] What if you're with a group of T-34s, and a Tiger I takes one of you out, and because of that the rest of you bail out and kill yourselves?
You can't bail out of tanks. If you're a tank crewman, you spawn in a tank and will die in that tank. Also, morale won't drastically affect how you control the tank. It's not going to take control from you and make you run away. If anything, loading/aiming will be more sluggish and changing positions will be slower.

The AI could just take over and make your tank retreat to a safe, tacticaly useless position. But the idea of the morale causing the game to take matters out of your own hands isn't something I like. Not everything has to be simulated. I, as a person, sometimes wonder what the point of continuing a losing battle is. That subtly effects my combat performance, for better or worse.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/XeKAI.jpg[/img_thumb]
Basovka?
Basovka?
dude let's hope proning on top of players and having them stand up while you deploy your LMG/AT guns turns you in to mobile infantry tanks [editline]14th February 2011[/editline] Remember johhnymo? Remember? Yes you do
I do I really do
Basovka?
it's Spartanovka and it isn't supposed to be a remake, more screen shots of that map [img_thumb]http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/278/spartanovka.jpg[/img_thumb] i'm pretty sure its the map in the trailer.
My gripe is still that even though there is no 'HUD', whatever does pop up on screen looks HORRIBLE. Can't they get a decent artist on this stuff? At least pull it all together so it looks coherent?
I'm hoping you can turn off alot of the pop-ups
I'm still playing Ostfront, this is going to be sex.
Interruptible Reloads:Reloads can now be interrupted.
Sweet, now reloading when an enemy runs in the room isn't a death sentence.
New Tank Damage System: ...Crewmembers have individual hitboxes within the tank and are killable via penetration of an AT rifle round.
That is going to be amazing.
tried the first one, couldn't get into it
It has an incredibly steep learning curve. Give it two days. You'll hate it the first day and love it the second. At all.
