Best thing to do is if you're in a hopeless situation. Spam on mic airplane noises while holding down the fire button and being equipped with russian grenades.
the artillery :suicide:
I feel like I'm cheating by being the first one in the match and getting the sniper every round.
i love being sniper, have to download this dumb crap though first
Elnya gets pretty boring quick, only way I have fun is the last match I was in was I drove the halftrack, ran over 2 germans and no scoped 2. Other than doing stupid things like that it can get really boring. Especially the beginning is waiting for everyone to download.
K, i guess i'll reinstall RO again. I haven't played it in 2 years though. :saddowns:
well that was fun, i'm done though

If you want you can send me a friend request on steam and will play together, and it's worth to reinstall as there is barely any games that can match how immersive RO is in multiplayer.
Also to JerryK: Yeah it was fun but really the US server needs more maps or replace some of the horrible maps like Elnya with ones that are more fun or both. I think the Russian server or the TWB Europe 2 server have the best rotations.
Holy shit decided to play some Red Orchestra yesterday after reading this thread. I kept going assault trooper because I'm a terrible rifleman. On an urban map I managed to get 7 kills in a row (like in under a minute) which I've never done before. I actually used the class for what it's named. I busted in a room with my MP40 all secret police like and started mowing people down.
EVERYONE IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
According to this thread on the forums http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=52267 a small number of people have been selected to beta test. The source is in there that shows its from Yoshiros twitter page but here is a direct link if you like. http://twitter.com/#%21/TripwireYoshiro
So I'm guessing this means that the large closed beta is going to start soon in the coming weeks, as they will probably increase how many they send out.
Praise the IS2
Add me on steam, I would gladly play RO with a few Facepunchers.
Are there still populated tank servers in RO:O?
PTAI-WTF
Are there still populated tank servers in RO:O?
The 10.pzd server is often populated.
They got hetzers on some of the maps on that server by the way.
Wouldn't it be sweet.. if they were suddenly like
"SUP GUYS, EARLY JUNE RELEASE YO"
[editline]2nd May 2011[/editline]
or even late May :saddowns:
Add me on steam, I would gladly play RO with a few Facepunchers.
Alright added you on steam, I hope we have enough players so maybe we could make a Facepunch server for ROHOS.
Thats all there is, and all there ever will be forever
really?
Can't wait for the Vietnam mod too
Have they announced a price yet?
[editline]3rd May 2011[/editline]
How much was RO:O at launch btw? Can't remember.
How do you sign up for the closed beta?
How do you sign up for the closed beta?
You don't. They've only contacted a bunch of old beta testers and well known clan leaders. 50 people in total.
Accidents happen, and not forgiving an accident is something I understand getting upset about, but some server owners do like to have language on their server that is "clean." Using words like "shit" "fuck" "cunt" etc just have such a negative societal reputation that some owners don't want it thrown around on their servers. It makes the atmosphere feel hostile, not welcoming. I know, personally, I would try to enforce less swearing on a server I was an admin for: albeit loosely. Other admins are just mindful of the fact that kids will be playing anyway, M rated or whatever (most of us were playing M rated games when we were tots anyway :v: ). But that's a completely different argument for another time <:.
kids are playing a gory M rated game and we still have to be careful not to expose them to swearing.
i may be stupid but i recognize stupid shit when i see it.

And as mentioned before, half the voice commands contain swearing anyway.
I'm probably late but:

The difference is that kids who play violent games aren't very likely to go around killing people, but if they're exposed to real people using that language it might influence their behavior. Have you ever seen a little kid run around cursing every other sentence? It's sad and embarrassing and it isn't something that pops out of no where, it's a learned habit which comes from an environment welcoming that language. It's the parents' fault for not monitoring their children, that's 100% true, but if an admin wants to filter their server and ask - Godforbid - their players practice filtering their language just a smidgen, why does it matter? Most of the time it isn't even about the kids, it's about creating an open environment. Some server owners just don't want that trash talk and atmosphere floating around.

That 'kid' shouldn't be playing RO in the first place.
[editline]3rd May 2011[/editline]
I shouldn't be responsible for that kid's virgin ears.
[editline]3rd May 2011[/editline]
Fuck, i won't be able to wait till august.
