Is there a price tag for this yet? Or is it going to be free?
Is there a price tag for this yet? Or is it going to be free?
It's free if you suck the developers cock.
I think putting an AT round through the viewport of a tank, killing the driver, would be the most amazing thing ever. I would probably ejaculate man juice all over my pants.
They should make it possible to throw a grenade into the tank trough either the hatch when the commander is leaning out of it or trough the front viewport.
What... The front viewport is too small and it often has glass at the least, in combat they'll close it and use the scope. And which commander in their right mind would be unbuttoned when there are infantry around? But yes if that rare moment were to ever happen it would be nice to lob a nade in through the commanders hatch.

Would be nice to lob one into the hatch though, any sane commander would button up, if they know there is infantry nearby (also this being a game I'd imagine more than a few would not button up, just because).
a sniper with the ptrs might
Vassili zaitsev put a scope on the PTRS, then ditched it due to accuracy issues.
I'm just saying if the Ptrs is as accurate as RO:OST's Ptrd then it'll be fun using it as a sniper to explode people.

the first one has too many stupid things in it for the sake of "realism". its actually not realistic at all
I couldnt get into the first one because by the time I got it mostly everyone playing was an expert at the game. For some reason I really want this one though.
When will this game be up for preorder on steam?
I'm hoping that they fix some of the major gameplay issues with the original; what really killed the game for me was the crippling bug where ballistic delay grew in correlation to the server ping. Even if it went above 100 there was a massive delay and it made hitting shit near impossible even at extremely close range. It's bad enough the delay was exaggerated to begin with. I am very glad to hear and see that they're reducing the soviet SMG recoil.
Shoot a gun. A few seconds later, impact. With 60 ping.
I loved the original, I hope that this won't be ruined and "consoleized."
I loved the original, I hope that this won't be ruined and "consoleized."
It's not coming out for consoles.
It's not coming out for consoles.
uhh yes it is. [editline]14th February 2011[/editline] how that will work i have no idea but the main reason it's being developed is for console releases. that's why it has a full campaign
I'm so pumped for this game, As soon as preordering is available I'm grabbing it. I've promised myself this is the only game I'm buying. I hope they put some effort into the AI. [editline]14th February 2011[/editline] Also spraying in buildings with the PPsh was fun.
The devs have confirmed that it's PC only.
o they also claimed it was for consoles like 2 years ago which is what i was going by nvm
loved the first, the epic tank battles were awesome.
o they also claimed it was for consoles like 2 years ago which is what i was going by nvm
Even if TWI did put it on consoles, I seriously doubt they would "consolize" it. TWI are PC developers at heart, after all they did start out making mods for Unreal Tournament back in the day.
They devs have said a number of times that It is launching on PC and they have no plan for console release, but aren't against releasing games for consoles if they could figure out a way for them to work(I think they mean both control and performance wise) I'm pretty sure the single player is because some people got annoyed with the non-existant single player in the first one

The developers have announced that the game will not be released for consoles. It may be ported over after the game has been released on the PC, but it will not have a console release.

The AI was just terrifying in RO
o they also claimed it was for consoles like 2 years ago which is what i was going by nvm
Nope. They never did. They said there was a chance it would come out for consoles.
I don't want to be, but I still feel suspect about the cover system. In a realism game like this, they just don't tend to work well, as in, they feel gamey and are often exploitive, "snapping" to cover rather than forcing the player to actually move into cover before he gets shot. Hopefully this is not the case here.
wait what were some other realism games that had a cover system? I had assumed ROHOS was the first because the other ones wanted to avoid that kind of snapping.
