I want my goddamn Beta Access already hnnnnggghhh
Time it takes for a cooked German stick grenade to explode: 1-5 seconds Time it takes for most people to find the "Grenade!" alert: 6-7 seconds Time it takes for most people to realize the person who just yelled "Grenade!" is right next to them: 2 seconds-never. See why that shit doesn't work?
Uh, Yelling Grenade! in russian or german sounds really similar to english or any other language they're going to translate the game to, there would no problem understanding such basic shit, and the size problem would be solved if they just kept the original languages, plus they would save money by not doing those pointless translations. I'm sorry but keeping the original language is not only more realistic, it's also cheaper, so it's quite the fuckup yeah. They could've used the extra time and money on more relevant features.
If the enemy voices will always be in native language, it makes no sense to not be able to have your team as native language. I mean, if the enemy team is russian, and they talk russian, why wouldn't your team be able to speak russian when you're playing as russians? I liked having the native languages, especially the german because I know a little german :v: [editline]12th July 2011[/editline]
I want my goddamn Beta Access already hnnnnggghhh
I doubt they'll do a beta.

They're doing a friends and family beta after which they will do a massive beta where they send out beta keys to various game websites. :downs:
they havent even announced a date for beta and the game comes out in 7 weeks? [editline]12th July 2011[/editline] sup guys some more pictars
There were also pics of russian winter uniforms.
The beta for Ostfront came out 2 weeks before the game was released. Don't worry, there'll be a beta.
Have they said anything about the class amounts in the game? etc. 12 riflemen, 2 machine gunners. I really hope that they increase the amount of snipers in the game, if only just to 2. I always found it weird in RO only having 1 sniper per team. Sure, if you were alright with the rifleman class then you could kill people just as far away, but I think snipers are one of the most important classes in the game. I've been able to keep an entire squad of germans behind cover before, simply because they knew that if they came out they'd get shot. Having 2 per team would just make it more enjoyable for the players, and would also provide better strategic abilities for both teams.
Some maps had 2 snipers some had one.
I did not realise this. I feel like i've missed out half the game.

Thanks Ninja for posting those videos, I think the 3rd one is the best to watch if you want to see one as it also is like the last one I posted before if you saw that. Someone also made a thread on the Tripwire forums with a link to ever RO2 screenshot: http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=54333 There are quite a few I have never seen before so I would recommend going through them.
So. Many. Links. :tinfoil:
Does anyone else think Battlefield 3 are stealing some of the features that Red Orchestra 2 are using?
Does anyone else think Battlefield 3 are stealing some of the features that Red Orchestra 2 are using?
Nope I don't.
Does anyone else think Battlefield 3 are stealing some of the features that Red Orchestra 2 are using?
um, like what?
Does anyone else think Battlefield 3 are stealing some of the features that Red Orchestra 2 are using?
Honestly the way BF3 is going I'm looking forward to RO2 more.
um, like what?
I'm not saying they're stealing- but BF3 has deployable bipods and a suppression system similar to RO2.
Which are always missing from FPSs.
You should be happy they're stealing supression and bipods, two things that the battlefield series has been lacking.

Is it known what the UK price will be (preferably on steam?)
Is it known what the UK price will be (preferably on steam?)
Its anywhere from $30-$50, probably $40. If its on Steam (and it is) it will be the same price in GBP, Steam doesn't compensate for exchange rates.

It is up to the publisher to set those prices and the publisher never bothers to do the proper exchange. They also said that they will use the correct price for every region.

-nvm-
I didn't know they'd be able to do that, I just assumed that since no one else really changes that.
Yep, it was funny learning that because then looking back to the huge thread on the steam forums about people complaining to steam about this issue when it has nothing to do with steam.
I'm looking forward to both of them. I'm glad they come out a few months away from each other...
Well, Valve has never went out and said this though, they sure should have.
Well, Valve has never went out and said this though, they sure should have.
Yeah that is true I was wondering why they just didn't say anything when they are getting all the blame for it while tons of people complain to them. No point hiding it, just come out and say "sorry about the prices but the publisher sets them and we have no control over them" That would be better for Valve instead what they are doing now, not saying anything and letting people bitch to them and complain.
