Well he was just talking about how 2 guys said they weren't going to buy the game anymore because the community is bad, and that a look through Facepunch will show what many (he and and 2 people) think of the community atm.
Dammit Yoshiro, turn it over.
Just hold it up to the light dude, you'll be able to see through it
By reversing the polarity of the alpha waves in the algorithm in this note, it'll force Yoshiro to turn over the note!
Brilliant!
Exactly, now can we preorder yet?

Please, this requires no less than access to the LHC, the keys lie in the god particle clearly

Tripwire has put so much work and money into this game that they have to use napkins instead of paper.

[editline].[/editline]
There must be some CSI zooming and enhancing trick we can use to see the other side of the napkin.
Just hold it up to the light dude, you'll be able to see through it
Well I opened my window held my computer outside where the sun was directly pointing at it, I couldn't see anything on the other side, maybe I saw something though, but not clearly.
Quickly, someone use CSI tricks on it and zoom and reverse the image while getting a reflection from the surface this paper was resting on. 1920x1080 resolution as well.
^ Moron above me stole my joke.

We will have a large closed beta near launch.
ETA? but the game is coming out in almost a month. A month counts as 'near launch' in my book.

Didn't someone say that the RO1 beta only came out like a week or 2 before the release?
Didn't someone say that the RO1 beta only came out like a week or 2 before the release?
Two weeks i think.
Two weeks i think.
I would image they would do the same for ro2
Keep up the good work tripwire! Also does tripwire need any Audio guys ;)
I would image they would do the same for ro2
Well at least when one won't make it into beta, he'll just wait them two weeks.
Oh shit, he's got a blog. He must be telling the truth :v:
I think a few of the things TW has done are BS (bayonets and 72 round drums as unlocks, even though they are standard issue equipment), but it doesn't really shake my confidence that RO2 is still going to be the best MP shooter of the year.
To be fair, who wants to play the game, only to find out that the new features are terrible, then needing to wait another 5 years until the next RO game comes out?
I
We don't know that bayonets are unlocks. Most likely the bayonet is an unlock exclusively for the MKb 42
EDIT: Derp, nevermind. Although it doesn't particularly matter because it's only on relaxed realism servers, and I have little doubt that there will be no shortage of "classic" or "realistic" or whatever servers.
Well ofcourse people are not trusting Tripwire, they've not made that many games and they are seemingly experimenting with their sequel. We have the right to be worried.
Have they made any bad games?
No?
Well then.
[editline]17th July 2011[/editline]
Well yes, Killing Floor and Red Orchestra were mods from the beginning and stuff, now they're making their first actual game, or so I'd say.
Why exactly don't KF and RO count as games exactly? The retail versions of both are quite a bit different from the mod versions, and just because they worked on them before it was meant to be published as real games doesn't mean that they just don't count.
The favorite thing about Tripwire is they are based out of metro Atlanta which is where I live.
A little bit of pride from good old Atl.

But it says you're from brazil.
I can't wait to use the Kar98k and the Mosin Nagant, after playing RO for awhile they have easily became my favorite guns to use, it's just the satisfaction of using them long range and picking off people, especially when they are sprinting and you aim it just right and you see them fall over. I really hope they are as satisfying to use in RO2 and give you that great feel when you fire.
The MGs as well are a favorite from RO but they don't give you that same feeling that the bolt-action rifles do.

I'm pretty sure it is a cape actually, if you look at this picture

that's the Germans sniper version.
I don't think they have confirmed it though.

That's just a Zeltban (I think? Could be very wrong). IMO if anyone on the Russian side has a cape it should be the assualts or the SL. "FOLLOW ME MEN! AND HAVE NO FEAR!"
43 more days till the big day it comes out. My heart can't take it any more.
i'm worried about this game
[editline]18th July 2011[/editline]
the fact that the bodies don't stay for more than 5 seconds really annoys me
the thing that really bothers me too now that I've heard some of it, is the fact that they speak broken english/russian

"throwin grenada" "grenada out"
fuck that
well i guess that's better but I still think it's a dumb design decision
no one on any side should have a full on cape, the incredibles taught me that capes get you caught into plane engines
also agree with bobste, bodies should stay for minutes at a time to allow them to be used for bipod mounting.
they're for extra concealment
eh, seems like a cape would fuck you up in an urban environment with all those bricks and shit flying around possible tripping you because of your cape
apperently the voice acting is because of memory limitations, which is fucking stupid but i get it
as well as needing to be able to know what your teammates are saying because in real life, you wouldn't not know russian so the game just makes the russian english but not really if you know what im saying :)
but you can memorize the phrases pretty easily
i did that with RO and now I don't even have to look at the chat to know what they're saying
Once Tripwire is done with Stalingrad, I would love to see some Red Orchestra set in Operation Bagration or the 1945 invasion of Manchuria. The Soviets in the Manchurian offensive operation - over very rough terrain - seized an area the size of Western Europe and defeated the Kwantung Army in practically eight days.

Watching that video, it looks like the bodies stay for awhile, way longer then 5 seconds and definitely way longer then RO where they would disappear when you turn your head.
Also the only reason that your side speaks English is because they have over 3000 lines recorded for battle chat during multiplayer that is random. If it was your standard commands like in RO it would probably be the same because they would appear in chat and you can memorize them pretty easily. But for the average player it would be hard to understand full lines of German or Russian.
Also it had something to do with having both in there would require over 4gb of RAM to play, I don't see why they just don't leave it an option though where when you enable it something comes up on your screen telling you that you need over 4gb of ram to use this.
Someone wanted capes/cloaks/whatever? Here's a Red Army cossack officer in winter dress:

honestly i don't see why they needed 3,000 lines of a language that 15% of the players understand
really once you're in game all you are going to hear is blabble where you might pick up a few words
sure it's extra content, but it seems overboard
