Tripwire and DICE are duking it out for my money.
Why should they? They come out almost three months a part. I usually don't pull this card but getting a hundred bucks in three months really shouldn't be hard, even with a min wage job. Of course if you're supporting yourself with a minimum wage job then its probably better to just avoid buying new things altogether but if you have external support through family it really shouldn't be a problem.
I don't understand why there's so much duking between fanboys of games, especially when the games have different release dates, even more so when they don't fill the same niche. Sure BF3 and RO2 are both shooters, but they aim to give different experiences in that genre. Other examples include SR and GTA, CoD and BF, Witcher and Bioware games, etc. Fanboys are stupid.

Anyways in relation to RO2 it comes out the day before classes begin, which kind of sucks. I'll probably end up spending some of the weekend playing it and DX: HR.
what i've always wanted in red orchestra is local voice chat that has a realistic range that enemy players can overhear, and then a radio class that relays messages to other classes
as an optional realism element for clans, of course, this wouldn't work with public matches at all
the whole point of local voice chat is great, though. Resistance and Liberation used it and it was incredibly useful if you're the opposing teams. i remember one time i heard some americans getting ready to ambush us through some shrubs and i let our machinegunner know and we gunned them down through the shrubbery and shot the stragglers trying to run away
clan match or pubbie match, it shouldn't matter. clans are designed to work the game the best they can given the assets provided. if anything, clan fags will just use ventrilo/teamspeak/mumble/whatever-the-fuck-else and get an upper hand in terms of VOIP but that's to be expected
I seem to have missed something.
There was a blogger that took it out on Tripwire because he didn't have access to the Beta.
What the fuck?

realism clans usually work, and you know as well as i do that ACRE is widespread in arma
For me Retail is probably going to be faster than Steam.
Not only does steam work like a bitch for me, my connection also sucks.
Alright my specs almost match up to the recommended, got a 5750, 6 gigs of ram, I don't know shit about processors but I think it's outdated. It's a quad core or something.
Oh wait, it's a Intel Core 2 Quad Cpu Q9300 @2.50 ghz (4cpus) I have no idea if that is good or not, can somebody help me. Also I think my Power box is a little lower than recommended since my parents wouldn't help me afford the correct one for the graphics card.
The recommended spec for the processor is "Quad Core 2.6 GHz or better"
You'll be fine

Anyways here is the amazing box art, for people who love the Mkb 42 with the bayonet and the sights, you will love this, also confirms that snipers get capes:

Dat box art...
Makes me consider getting it retail instead of digitally.

Dat page king...
Damn. With that sexy box-art I am considering retail now
I was ninja'd. Our thoughts are the same because of that.

mmhm, and i'm not complaining. i definitely agree that local voip should be the in-thing and radio classes should be given but we know that's never going to happen unless somebody mods it
unless you were mentioning it already being a feature?
-snip-
Well I meet the requirements sans video card. But I think the ol' 4890 can stand up to it.
Getting excited now, I can't wait to see some tank combat.

nop, it's not in
i was considering learning how to mod and making a kickass realism mod for RO2 but then i realized i would never do it

It's not a financial issue, well kinda. There is also Skyrm and maybe SWTOR and then non-gaming things I want to buy, so I don't see how choosing between which war shooter to get at the quarter they release is crazy. No fanboyism here. They may play slightly differently but not enough for me to get both right now like I said. :v: Now if it was one of these and ARMA 3 then it'd be different. I'm leaning towards this, though.
I can't wait for Rising Storm, either, and In-Country. Both are going to be excellent RO2 mods.
I can run it on minimum at the moment.
Good thing I'll be getting a new PC soon.
I can't wait for Rising Storm, either, and In-Country. Both are going to be excellent RO2 mods.
I'm more excited for Rising Storm over the core game. :v: I'm a bitch when it comes to Russian winter. It'll be neat to see if Japanese heros get katanas.
I'd like playing Rising Storm. There aren't many games that focus on the Pacific theater. But it'd be a weaboos wet dream if they got a katana.
Everyone likes katanas. It's not like they'd have swords like Clouds or w/e that shitty final fantasy character is called.
Imagine an RO2 server akin to the TF2 weeabootique.
Americans and Japanese fighting each other while Panty & Stocking OST is playing in the background. Micspamed by the Japanese hero, running around killing with a katana.
Any word if soldiers will have funny chatter akin to BF3? :v: I just love the dialouge in it. It gets me hyped for the game oddly enough.
HNNG that snipers cape is so manly. :3:
AWWWWWWWWWWW yeah my cock is hard from this rad info. Thanks Trip.
MY COMPUTER AND WALLET ARE READY
Profanwolf recently purchased this massive beast server. So yes, I'm certain that we will see some nice [del]arcadey servers for all of you COD fans out there[/del] realism server for us all to enjoy.
I am also keen on the Co-Op mode of the game. Wonder if there ever will be some sort of survival.
Now I haven't checked this thread all that much but I saw a bit further back that you already seem to have the beta? At least it says that you've played 0.1 hours of RO2.
Forgive me for my ignorance but at least that is what it appears to be.
Oh great, can't wait to play on that server, also that's just the RO2 trailer I downloaded as a joke because it tricks people to believe I was playing RO2.
If I was in the beta I wouldn't be posting on these forums, let alone have only 0.1 hours in the game or leave my house...... :v:

i fucking love the tank gameplay in this game, anyone got recent videos or info on it?
And sorry if this was displayed obviously in the last few days, i've been living under a rock.

300Mhz is not a huge deal, and you can always obtain it through overclocking.

Don't worry, if you have a decent GPU and the game isn't an unoptimized piece of shit, it will run.
300Mhz is not a huge deal, and you can always obtain it through overclocking.
My motherboard is a piece of shit and case has horrible air flow. My cpu is overheating all the time as is.
My specs are:
Intel C2D E6400
2gb of ram
9800gt
windows 7 pro
Have you recently cleaned for dust?
Removing some dust from the case might help both keep CPU from overheating and give better performance.
I had to put a ventilator next to my open case pc to cool it, since my build in cooling is broke and doesn't work at full efficiency. And I'm to poor to buy a new one.
