It would be ironic if they stuck to Rising Storm and criticized RO2 as inferior.

Can't say I blame the Poles for wanting to kill Russians and Germans in the same game.
They've been rather unfortunate in geography. Sandwiched between two aggressive powers like Germany and Russia, taking invasion and occupation from both.
I get the distinct feeling they'll be playing mostly as Germans though. The Russians spent far more time in Poland than the Germans.

I got banned from their RO server because I TKed an admin on accident when he ran around a corner at me in enemy territory.
The files were deleted from your hard drive. You'd need to download the content again and someone would have to make a mutator. Someone already did for the Christmas Zeds, although it's only for KF-EvilSantasLair. Nothing for the Circus Freaks yet, however.

KF_German: "George was known as 'Herman the German' to his colleagues at work, for his unhealthy obsession with every tiny little detail of his German WW2 uniform collection. He had been happily accepting the plaudits of his fellow re-enactors regarding his new replica Gasmaske Modell 1930/38 when THEY arrived. Beating off a bunch of monsters was not the use he had in mind for his replica MKb 42(H) - but it worked well enough!"
KF_Russian: "Nikolay actually is Russian. And his uniform was the envy of all the re-enactors for being completely real, having belonged to his grandfather. It was a complete mess, which Nikolay secretly could care less about. But it tended to get him a lot of free beer at the events. His subsequent drunken shouting in Russian was all assumed to be part of the act. Suddenly taking to stabbings things wasn't - but it was too late to worry about by then."
Woooo.
Going to go out on a limb and say that these guys might speak in new voices too, especially due to KF_Russian's bio talking about "drunken shouting in Russian." Maybe we'll hear the new voice acting early :)?

i can run GTA IV easily
Hmm, some of the more processor-intensive stuff might be a bit of a problem; might want to steer away from very large battles. Your card should be ok for low though; I'd say you can definitely play.

It looks damn amazing (except for enemy at the gates, Stalingrad would be a better choice IMO)
Here is Alans response to it
So since this is not officially by Tripwire, I wonder if it will be the same thing (Stalingrad movie please pssst) or be completely different.
Edit: Personally I would love to see an edition with the soundtrack, It is fucken amazing how it sounds, I hope that happens. The samples are already enough for me to call it my favorite game music of all time.
Shit, that's almost 190 PLN :v:
First thing to get for 200 PLN is a new guitar, then I'll take a look.
Well that's actually ~47 euro so its not that expensive. The normal edition is 85 PLN, so that would be ~21 euro.
God damn, it would be much better for me to buy off Amazon as I have a £20 voucher, thus the game costing me £5. But I want to join the bandwagon and buy it on Steam, even though with the other option i'll have the pleasure of getting the box and it will activate on Steam anyway :v:
You get Enemy At The gates with RO2 Collectors edition?
That's hilarious
You get Enemy At The gates with RO2 Collectors edition?

It's an Americanized film about Stalingrad while ironically being shot in Berlin.
You can't get any worse.

TWI has a good sense of humor
I think the marketing idea was "See both sides of the conflict, like in RO2."
Either that or dark humor!
So have the Russians made any films on Stalingrad since the wall fell?
So have the Russians made any films on Stalingrad since the wall fell?
Well (I guess) surprisingly, a Russian didn't make it, but a German. The movie is called Stalingrad and it portrays the side of the German soldiers.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalingrad_(film)
For any of you planning to get it on Steam well, it was just confirmed RO2 will have a pre load, quote from Yoshiro.
We plan to have the game available for preload.
Also new interview from GotGame, no it has no new information and it is everything we already know, you may be going,
"Then why should we watch this?"
Well who wouldn't want to watch a drunk interviewer interview John Gibson :v: It's pretty funny and for that reason alone you should watch it.

I love the way they are doing the destruction, its simple and to the point and personally I think it does its job better then BF3. As the main point for BF3s destruction is "OH LOOK EVERYONE WE HAVE THINGS DESTRUCTING", and it brings it to that point where Tripwire said was boring where when all the buildings are flattened, you now have this flat battleground.
ROs point is not for effects to show off but to further immerse you into the game as you are running through the ruins of a city hit by artillery and tank combat. It makes you feel like your in a war torn city from WW2. And it makes it far more interesting then a flat field.
And the threads at the bottom because it's like the Skyrim thread, we have all these amazing details of everything and now there is nothing really to discuss until we get more news, oh well. Since they said they would be discussing the beta this week, lets hope it's either a date or even better it's release.

You haven't really read enough about BF3 then :v:
They said everything won't be destructable in the map, to keep it playable. :downs:
The only problem I had with the BC2 destruction was that everybody had weapons that could destroy everything, it was a bloody mess.
The only problem I had with the BC2 destruction was that everybody had weapons that could destroy everything, it was a bloody mess.
Well, in reality this isn't that inaccurate. Modern hand grenades can do serious damage to structures and light vehicles, and we're not even talking about launcher grenades, demo charges, rockets... speaking of which, you'd be surprised by how prolific RPGs really are. My friend from Iraq told me about how easy it was to get them... ridiculous. Anyway, all that just to say that the damage done in BC2 is sometimes exaggerated, but it's not as far from reality as you'd expect. I suspect BF3 will tone it down a bit.
Now, what I haven't seen is the destruction in RO2 yet. I have no idea what it's like and I'm really curious.
