Hope the supression effects will be more noticable in the final product
New videos from Gametrailers, cam but do show a great deal of new features. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gdc-11-red-orchestra/711635 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gdc-11-red-orchestra/711637
The HUD doesn't really fit with the rest of the game. Or at least the bars on the lower left side. everything else is awesome.
when's it coming out faggots
I heard April, but I don't know for sure. [editline]13th March 2011[/editline] The only thing I don't like from the videos is the in-tank lighting. It looks like the sun is shining on everything inside but there are no lights on the actual interior. It looks kinda bad. :(
I cannot wait for this. Ive been in dire need of a good shooter. I started to play Ostfront again but most servers have a high ping for me or it's all bots. [editline]13th March 2011[/editline] and regarding release date: Tripware told Gametrailers they are going to be doing a friends and family beta late this month, then a small clan/loyal beta (known communities loyal and long lasting clans...etc will get keys) and finally a ~20k invite to closed beta. All leading up to release. I would expect each beta to take 1-3 weeks with a break in between so I would put RO2 sometime in late May or June.
So long as the battles play out somewhat like this: ...I shall be more than satisfied. I want beta
I want beta, too.
This is certainly my Favorite Multiplayer FPS of the year.
I'm just happy about the realistic barrel heating on the machine guns. Where something like an mg42 would heat up slower on a snow map.
New article from PC Gamer released, it talks about the MGs with barrel switching and overheating, it talks about the heroes and a bit about the single player campaigns and the leveling system. To those of you who played the original and are worried about the game having a leveling system. Something that is part of it is your honor level, which basically means if your a moron who goes in matches who griefs and tks then your honor gets decreased significantly to a point where you get your own servers. Yep if you tk and grief you aren't allowed to play on normal servers and all the tkers and griefers all have to play on the same server together so you really don't need to worry about many morons. Here is the article: http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/03/14/red-orchestra-2-preview-barrel-swapping-heroics/
Terrain Deformation is out because of MP problems. Darn
I wonder how this'll work out? Sounds like it'll be pretty nice, though.

Can't be a nice place.
What if you are just a massive noob though? For example: me
Unless you're shooting teammates on a continuous basis, you've got nothing to worry about.
What if you are just a massive noob though? For example: me
I think it would be fine as this only applies to guys who excessively tk tons and tons of guys per match or grief a lot. So basically only if you are doing this intentionally really it's going to make the difference if you get thrown out or not. But they are setting up for tons of team play points in game as you gets a lot of points for re supplying mg's, killing people who try to take the objective, killing essential people (commanders, snipers, MGs), and killing people on their way to the objective and probably many more things to get points out of. So even if your not that good in the beginning there will be tons of things to do to keep your score and your honor up. So you should be fine as long as you don't excessively tk or grief someone.
Oh, as long as there are a lot of team play stuff then I'll be fine. At first glance i thought this was a completely k/d based game.
Oh, as long as there are a lot of team play stuff then I'll be fine. This i don't like much.
"With the weapon proficiency, the more you use a particular weapon, the better you will get with handling the weapon. This affects things such as how well you handle recoil, or how quickly you reload.”
Everything else sounds incredible
well it makes sense, and it's going along with their "personal progression" thing
This i don't like much. Everything else sounds incredible
I think it sounds good, as long as it resets each match.
Any news on the system requirements for this? I definitely don't expect to be playing on maximum settings, but if I can run RO right now at maximum settings I should be fine, right?
I think it sounds good, as long as it resets each match.
I doubt it will, but it makes sense i guess. Has there been any news on a release date? Haven't been keeping up with this game so I figured i'd ask.
Has there been any news on a release date?
