Alright, let's do this the other way around. It seems that Dollar=Euro principle still stands, even with discounts and whatnot. The price for the Digital Deluxe in the States is the same as the regular version here in Europe. Therefor, I'd like it very much if I could import the game from a friendly American FPer!
Digital Deluxe is $50 in the US, 44,99€ in EU. $50 is 36,06€, adding the 20% VAT for EU brings it up to 43,272€. So it's pretty fair.
So is there any point in actually buying the deluxe edition other than getting early access via the beta? From what I see it says day 1 unlock for certain weapons and 2 badges. So do you have to gain xp to unlock weapons now or are they going to have certain weapons restricted for a week or so? I really hope it's something xp related because locking weapons just so someone will pay a higher price tag to use them first when we will all get them at some point is just lame. Looking forward to this game though, operating a tank is going to be sexual with those interiors!
Yeah, the game has a progression system with ranks and the like. Day 1 unlocks just mean that you start with those weapons unlocked, instead of having to get the required ranks.

I enjoy working for stuff, aslong as it's not too grindy :D Now just roll on release! Think I've actually got time off work at the end of this month aswell, woop!

The promo hats are just icing on the cake. As for the weapons, it seems that they're Day 1 unlocks for people who have the game. iirc All of the weapons they're giving though can be unlocked through the XP system. They're probably just a small helping of some of the hero weapons too.

I don't mind gaining ranks for my weps.
How many dollars is normal RO2 edition with -20%? (cant find it anywhere..probably just blind)
Still not amused it comes out the last day of my holiday :smith:

I've only just found out you can do the whole campaign co-op. Holy poop. Guessing I'm late. Seeming as the article was from 2010, i'd guess so!
I own the original Red Orchestra, but I've never really played it. Is this game worth getting, or should I play the original first?
Also french vs german
WW2 Online: Battlegrounds Europe
It's $40 with the 20% discount. And I've never paid VAT using Steam before. US doesn't have VAT, VAT is included in the price, you have paid it every-time you used Steam. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Value_added_tax

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Value_added_tax
I am talking from an EU standpoint (I'm Dutch). With the 20% discounts here, the standard edition is 28 euro's, and the Deluxe = 36 euro's. So I would be paying $51.50 for the Deluxe, with all the discounts included.
I own the original Red Orchestra, but I've never really played it. Is this game worth getting, or should I play the original first?
Get this game. Try out the first Red Orchestra, but in case you don't like it, don't expect RO2 to not be enjoyable aswell. RO2 is gonna be a huge improvement to the original RO.
Will preorder it retail cause I would just get a low violence version, won't be that great to play.
I own the original Red Orchestra, but I've never really played it. Is this game worth getting, or should I play the original first?
Since I'm a WW2 nut, I like games with teamwork and realism. Red Orchestra is one of my favourite multiplayer games, but if are more a fan of arcade type of shooters (e.g. CoD) I wouldn't recommend it. There are a bunch of Red Orchestra 2 interviews on youtube watch one of those to get an idea of how game plays.
Will preorder it retail cause I would just get a low violence version, won't be that great to play.
We might work something out. I can gift you the full game from Holland so you can play it in Germany. PM me to discuss.
I still want a WW2 game where you can play as a German soldier in singleplayer that has an actual story and isn't an RTS.
Stalingrad Campaign: Before heading online hone your skills in one of two campaigns that recreate the battle for Stalingrad from both the German and Russian sides. Featuring open non-linear environments and unscripted gameplay players make their own path through the battlefield. Yep, in red orchestra 2 you can. Source: http://store.steampowered.com/app/35450/
I hope its possible to make a workaround for the gore without setting off any of the anti-cheats. I want my troops to splatter, damnit!

As far as I know anyway.
Just pre ordered the game! Can't wait till it's out, shame that's at the end of the holidays though...
Will preorder it retail cause I would just get a low violence version, won't be that great to play.
I wonder if people will get hit by an artillery shell and just lay down as if they're surrendering! I feel for you man, getting your right to play what you want, how you want it fucked over just because the goverment are idiots, sucks.

This is from what I remember.
Ramm just posted some (sad) news about coop: Oh well, Red Orchestra is at it's core a Multiplayer game, I won't mind waiting by playing Multiplayer with my friends.
Bit of a bummer. But as long as we are getting coop I won't mind. It would've been sad news if they were to remove it all together.
Just Buy the normal one^^ Im a huge ww2 fan and ro1 was a grate game. (however I play nowardays Darkest Hour ) Thanks to that I meet a guy in the game who is a member in a re-enactor club. Bought the Deluxe as it was only £4 more, worth it for the Beta if I get to play the game earlier :D

Just played a game on Danzig, I haven't RO in such a long time and I regret that now. Now I just hope I'll have my new rig finished in time for the release of Heroes of stalingrad. and if you haven't already joined Facepunch's Red Orchestra 2 group do that now!
Is there a realistic estimate on when those of us with the deluxe edition can get on the beta? I wont be happy if it's for something like 3 days before release.
