The story isn't really multiplayer with bots as what kind of story are you expecting, one like CoD some Hollywood thing where you are a one man army shooting thousands of faceless Germans? It is a story, it tells the story from both sides of the Battle of Stalingrad.
You first play as the Germans pushing through into Stalingrad then later after you hit a certain point (based on what actually happened) you then play as the Russians where you push the Germans back out of Stalingrad. It is going to have tons of bots in there to show those are going to be huge battles and you are trying to take that city, it doesn't have to be some Hollywood thing where you have a squad of 4 guys that never dies until the game says so and you gun down thousands of guys.
So technically it is a story (plus it has some cut scenes where you are explained whats going on and what you have to do) it's not like the BF style where you just play a random match with bots that tells no significant story behind it.
Just Buy the normal one^^ Im a huge ww2 fan and ro1 was a grate game. (however I play nowardays Darkest Hour ) Thanks to that I meet a guy in the game who is a member in a re-enactor club. I jonied and made lots of friends.

That's awesome, congrats on the find. Wish there were some renactment clubs in my area. Alas there are none, and if there are, they're all Civil War.
Just saw a show on the history channel about the history of Mauser and now I'm all psyched for RO2 but it's no where to be found :smith:

I have digital television and always when I turn on that channel I see stuff like: Did aliens built the pyramids? Is the Bermuda triangle real? Ice road truckers etc. That channel is horrible IMO.

Um it's just multiplayer with bots.
This will probably be better than mw3 and bf3 combined. Not in sales and reviews unfortunately.
fuck BC3, this is truly a quality game

You just don't get it man
I don't see why we can't love both. They're both quality games. Atm BF3 is looking a bit more attractive because I tried out the alpha and was blown away. I'd wait until the betas for both games are made open/released before I make my choice. Heck, purchase them both if you have the money. But let's talk about RO2 in this thread instead of other games. You can go to the BF3 thread and mention how all-powerful RO2 is compared to it if you want.
Um it's just multiplayer with bots.
it better not be
It is.
why the fuck are you even comparing bf3 and ro2?
I have digital television and always when I turn on that channel I see stuff like: Did aliens built the pyramids? Is the Bermuda triangle real? Ice road truckers etc. That channel is horrible IMO.
I think this might have been a subchannel of History because it was showing actual history stuff, there was something about the Nazi party's rise to power before the show about the history of Mauser. Because yeah, usually it's complete shit.
why the fuck are you even comparing bf3 and ro2?
Indeed, they should both be win in their own ways.
It is.
It's not, just because it's not Hollywood style where you gun down thousands of guys doesn't mean it doesn't have a story, it just follows how Stalingrad went. One of Red Orchestras big thing is that you arn't those Hollywood guys who gun down thousands and save the world, your just another soldier in a huge battle. And the singleplayer continues that.
Just because it's done more realistically and that you are a soldier in a huge battle trying to push into Stalingrad and then play as the Russians and push them back doesn't mean it's not a story. No it's not a made up story like CoDs but it's telling the story of the Germans and Russians those months who were in the battle. This mode still stays true to Red Orchestras realism and authenticity of WW2.
If it was a made up story where you gun down thousands of guys and save the world, it really wouldn't be Red Orchestra.
I have no idea when my school starts
Uh it started yesterday. What the hell are you doing here?
[editline]3rd August 2011[/editline]
Seriously that happened to me once.
Indeed, they should both be win in their own ways.
Wasn't exactly my point; they're not even of a comparable subgenre - one is a milsim and the other is a semi-arcadey shooter.

Haha, that's that Ancient Aliens one right? Swear on one episode he looks normal, then it looks like he's spent 5 weeks on a sunbed.
Played a bit of RO yesterday.

These things kept happening.

Um it's just the same multiplayer maps set in a campaign style order. Sure it follows how it went down but you're still playing the same maps just with bots.

what are you on, it's like counter strike condition zero's campaign. Just the Mp maps in order

I wish it was more in depth but i guess it is a mainly mp game
Typing on an iPhone is annoying for these forums. Talking of which, I wonder how a Red Orchestra game would fair on one. Probably watered down and more arcade like.

"I don't know. Therefore, aliens."
Bank holiday on the 29th, then 3 days holiday with a half day 1 hour flexi friday.
Shit is so on.
Seriously.

Didn't know that, but I doubt we'll see it on the pc, just like the BFBC2 coop.
