If I pre-order the deluxe and get access to the pre-release beta, when does the beta start? Is it available now?
No, it starts most likely next week. (At least we all hope)
I might just pre-order to try out the beta and cancel if I don't like it
People are comparing this game to BF3 because this one is one Steam and BF3 is not going to be, so allot of people are replacing BF3 with RO2.
So does this require Steam? After I lost my account (with around 20 bought games) I made myself never use Steam again, mostly because I don't feel like starting all over again.
it's not possible to 'lose your account', you can always contact Steam Support with whatever information you have, including your credit card to get your account back. It doesn't matter if it was lost or hijacked, it's quite possible.

So it's pretty safe.

Day after it was yet again hijacked, told SS again, they said I should tell them when I wanted my account re-activated again. I then asked some further questions and all of a sudden they activated my account without me even telling them to go for it. This all happened by night when I was sleeping, and I was planning to do a complete scan the next morning, but when I woke up my account was already permanently closed.
This all happened over a year ago.
I understood that, but I mean that it's safer now.
I understood that, but I mean that it's safer now.
Yes, it's just that whenever I look at the Steam icon on my desktop it's like a punch to the stomach. All the good times I had, all my games...thrown away, never to return. So I don't feel like having to start all over again, though I might because of RO2.
Uh BF3 is going to be on Steam, just not right away.
lies. dont believe everything you read on the internet
Red Orchestra 3: Modern Warfare *now with cutscenes!
So after complaining that you want a real story (lol) with cinematic cut scenes because some how without them you don't feel it's a real campaign, then if RO3 has them it's now CoD? Wtf?
lies. dont believe everything you read on the internet
This, if you are basing it off of that EA support quote OutofExile then we can expect BF 2143 to come out next year because that's what EA support said too.
What's the number of players in mp?
64 is the maximum I believe
Well the bonuses (KF chars, TF2 hats, 20% discount for owning RO2, the weapons) makes me want to buy this game, I played RO1, I sucked a bit, but I tough it was kinda cool, I also don't want any other games at the moment but I don't really know if it's worth This game will have a rank system like the one on bad company 2 (every new rank unlocks a weapon or a gadget) right?
Can we have an Ostbattalion formed?

For gadgets, yes you unlock those, if you don't own the original RO you will have to unlock the bayonets to use on your bolt-action rifles, unlock the Drum Mag for the PPSH-41 (default is a stick mag) and the ability as a Assault class or a Rifleman class to unlock the other teams weapon. (Like a Russion rifleman can unlock the Kar98k to use or the German Assault can unlock the PPSH-41 to use, again entirely realistic as in WW2 they would use weapons they captured from the enemy.) and that's really it. But it is only stuff like that no unlocking bigger magazines or different sights or grenades or such, also when you progress in level you may get small bonuses (like 2-3%) on say you reload faster or get less suppressed when fired at from a MG but it's a small difference not like CoDs where you are going to start reloading like your on drugs. But yes you should get it, I promise you that it will be amazingly fun to play you, when Tripwire says it will have an unrivaled Multiplayer they mean it.

Also I know someone made a tutorial video for RO1 so there might be one for RO2 whether it is official or not. Or if your still not sure add me on steam and I'll help you out when it's released as I have done it for others in RO1.
I saw a practice button on the main menu in one of the videos posted earlier.
Looking back at the video I posted, yeah it's there but according to this post by Ramm, it isn't: http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showpost.php?p=783813&postcount=20 and here is the full thread if you want to see that: http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=55326 So I guess we have to wait for the full game to actually find out.
Is it me or are the RO2 forums constantly slow as fuck, maybe it's due to the pre-order release but christ it's been like this all day.
I bought RO:1 yesterday and played it today. It's good but damn it takes a while to get used to it. I like it.
Exactly like it was with me, I remember. I bought it, installed played... Died died died sucked. But hell, I fucking loved it just because of its potential.
Russian Rifleman can unlock and spawn with are the Kar98k, and the German Assault can spawn with the PPSH-41.
Wait whoa whoa, source please? I'm not really into the idea of spawning with guns from the opposite side. Yeah I'm sure soldiers picked up enemy guns during battles, but they weren't necessarily handed an enemy rifle straight from the get-go. If I wanted to pick up a Commie gun when I'm German, I'll scrounge the battlefield and take it off a dead guy. I shouldn't spawn with it. It all smacks me of Call of Duty WaW, because that was pretty much the same principle.
I suppose I'm going to download this game (bought it around 2 years ago, never really played it), and on around monday (perhaps) I will play it, and if I enjoy it, I will buy RO2. Anyone suggest any good maps? Good servers based in or around California?

I mean I like having an option instead of just "All other classes are full here's your bolt-action." but at least keep the sides separate.
ppsh's everywhere
Before purchasing, I'm wondering if it's worth the extra $8 for the deluxe version. I don't really care about TF2 hats, KF skins or day 1 access to weapons but the beta seems enticing.
