I think it would be cool if you got a projector-style briefing before each battle, similar to WaW, but even more realistic.
I don't recall one in WaW, you mean MOH Airborne?

Red Orchestra 2 будет здорово!
If I can scrounge together some more dosh I think I will get RO1 just to see if I like it. If so, I'll probably get the funds together for RO2 sometime around Christmas, unfortunately. Too many games coming out that I really, really want. (i.e. BF3, SR3, Skyrim)

That was the kind of idea I had in mind, but I only ever played WaW.
WaW had a "projector-style" but not like Airborne.

Skyrim.. I can dig it.
But BF3.. lets just weigh the values here:
RO2 - $32-34 / BF3 - [del]$59.99[/del] $60
RO2 - Mod Tools day one, Two mods to be released shortly after August 30 / BF3 - No mod tools.
It looks like a good game and all, but without mod tools BF3 is basically a one trick pony. Not to mention it costs almost double what RO2 costs (at RO2's current price, at least).
I understand that much, but I just know BF3 is going to be huge. Also much more of my friends are the Battlefield/COD guys rather than Red Orchestra.

Every generic FPS release is going to be huge. :v:
Will be a map for huge tank battles? And any chance to get more tanks in DLCs? (like Tiger, Phanter ect...)
Will be a map for huge tank battles? And any chance to get more tanks in DLCs? (like Tiger, Phanter ect...)
Yes, the maps will be huge for Tank Battles and the 2 tanks right now in the game are the T-34 and the Panzer IV, after the game is released though there will be more added tanks, but the tanks take 6 months each to fully finish so don't expect them soon.
Red Orchestra 2 будет здорово!
Red Orchestra 2 будет классным*!
Since there's so few tanks, I hope they make different tanks with minor variations, like the T-34/76 with Welded applique armor, or an uparmored and/or space armored panzer IV. Cant imagine it 'd require much work on the devs part to add a bit more "meat" to the existing tank model.
Given the abysmal and desperate situation in Stalingrad, I can definitely see soldiers just welding extra armor plating onto their tanks. Hell, could even make for tank unlocks :v:

You forgot to mention that the interior is fully modelled instead of just sections of the tanks. So the tanks are extremely detailed.

Exactly, which is why they take 6 months each to finish, I can't wait to actually see it fully in game.
On another note, I hope they show in game videos of the dismemberment, can't wait to see how that is.
What's the backing track on this? I heard there was a dynamic soundtrack which reflects how you are doing on the game in campaign..

I do like that soundtrack.

Yep, Ramm has already said that their soundtrack is going to sound 100 times better then that, for some amazing samples on the soundtrack go here: http://samhulick.com/music-all/rohos
here is also a pre master of "Across the Steppe"
Also a preview of the main theme
It just sounds fucken amazing, which makes it more disappointing they didn't include it with the digital deluxe edition, maybe they will let us download it for free when the games out?
Why is this game so cheap, I want to give Tripwire more money!
I love Sam Hulick's work, his soundtrack for Mass Effect was amazing.
I just cant get into RO2's music as much as ROOST's.

Hearing music like that on Black Day July = Awesome

That sounds amazing, though I have never played on Black Day July before but most of ROs music is annoying, like Odessa's.
Buy killing floor and all the DLC's.
Yep, that is just what I did 2 days ago.
I just hate Odessa overall, everything about that map makes me rage when I play it, including the chimey music.
Odessa > Danzig
Danzig < Odessa

I was watching an old video and they said it took 3 months, not 6.
My bad, your right it's 3 months.
Also Tripwire is making a FAQ on their website: http://www.heroesofstalingrad.com/faq/
If you want to suggest something to be in the FAQ post here: http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=55464
Edit: Yoshiro's response to what is the singleplayer
It is more then MP with bots, but it is also not a cinematic story line based on one character.
We tell the story of the battles in and around Stalingrad, not focusing on any individual or particular unit.
This music is beautiful ;~;
I just preordered the Digital Deluxe edition. I love Tripwire.
I also heard recently about the morale system in an interview, basically if your team is doing well heroic music will be played. And if they're doing horrible sad music will be played. Pretty cool.
