Light of Altair. One of the best indy games out there. It's a space colony/war sim. Very fun.
-Pepsi Man-
Oh fuck, don't get me started on that. I remember reading that in a magazine a long time ago and just wondering what the game was even like. I've NEVER seen it in a store. Ever
Why is it rated T, by the way? O_o
Kids wouldn't be able to handle the loads of pepsi in the game.
Kids wouldn't be able to handle the loads of pepsi in the game.
I rated you an agree because I only just now noticed he has 17 in the screenshot. That's way too much sugar for a younger audience. I'd love to hear Thompson's response to this

I fucking LOVE tresspasser, and I think it's funny that so many people hate it. It's such a different, and fun FPS.
The Adventures of Rad Gravity on the NES

This guy wasn't very good at the game was he?
I just got this game a couple of weeks ago at my local used games shop. I decided like last year, that I would buy every NES game I could, that had Rad in the title, so far I've got Rad Racer, Totally Rad, and Rad Gravity. Totally Rad is pretty awesome, and I bet a bunch of you have never heard of it

I can't believe I still remember that game. Even though I only played it on a demo disc, I remember it being one of my first rather violent games.
The Ship, my all time favorite game, but nobody plays it.

The Ship RULES.
Needs more people. They need to have a sale and make it super cheap. That'll get people playing.

This game was the first time I heard the song "Let's Get Retarded" by the black eyed peas, I'm super nostalgic right now.
I spelled retarded wrong! That's where that dumb rating came from!
Rune...it's a Viking type game, 3rd person view I think. It had multiplayer, too.

infact i'd be surprised if anyone here had a commodore amiga for their first gaming machine
Amiga was actually my first gaming experience because my mother had one she got from her brother before I was born. But my first own game console was the SNES wich I got in 1994 when I was 6.
Advent Rising comes to mind.
And to the guy that said Light of Altair, I found the demo hard as hell, any tips? (And I'm no stranger to that form of game, but LoA just seemed deliberately obtuse at times)
Holy shit I had Goblin Commander.
And I loved Advent Rising, one of the secret rooms was a Mario room that had warp pipes too different chapters.

Sheep, Dog, and Wolf
This was actually a brilliant game. I want it again now. I had it under the US title "Sheep Raider".
Trespasser
LOL I googled that :v:
A short quiz before we begin the review. What is the following noise ... thump ... thump ... thump?
1. A tyrannosaurus rex stalking me through the jungle.
2. The sound in my head after trying to configure Trespasser to run smoothly on my system.
3. My wife coming into the computer room at 2 a.m. scolding me to get my butt to bed or I'll be late for work tomorrow.

This was actually a brilliant game. I want it again now. If that's the case, I'm going to be pretty angry. I want to play it again too
Oh, and how far did you get? I got to like, level 17 or so. It had a huge mine field that you had to get 2-3 sheep across and I could never do it. D:

MediEvil:

Incredibly witty game from the European section of Sony Computer Entertainment. One of my favorite lines:
"Fortesque, you jawless arrow magnet!" -Dirk Steadfast
Akuji the Heartless:

Yep. You play as a voodoo priest who was betrayed by his clan and sent to the afterlife. However, he really shouldn't have been there (even Baron Samedi agrees), and starts on a quest to return to life and avenge his death. Dynamic music, good graphics, and an original storyline makes this one a keeper in my opinion.
Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko:

Dana Gould contributes to the main character's voice, who just happens to be a gecko who travels in and out of TVs that throw him into a parody of a movie or television genre. My personal favorite: The Anime Channel. Perfect parody.
man, these games were fucking great.
I forgot the name of Akuji.
There was also a MediEvil 2.
I played Gex, a great platformer, wish I still had my Sega Saturn.
Also; Astal, the best platformer ever made. To bad there is probably only 3 people on this forum that know about it.
The Killing Cloud
Laser Squad
Blood
The Dig
Capcom Fighting Evolution
World Heroes
Zaxxon 3D
Wanted
Ninja: Shadow of Darkness
Rebelstar: Tactical Command
Mech Platoon
Space Invaders on the ps1 also not arcade version.
I WANT IT AGAIN!

Probably some of the best FMVs in the history of video games. Very fun game, but obscenely short. Can be beat in ONE DAY. Still, it's name "The Cinematic RPG" still fits it well.

Both games were awesome. The second one was better IMO.
R.A.D. Robot Alchemic Drive. I'm not sure if it really qualifies as a "never heard of" game. It's more like an "impossible to find" game. The controls were awesome: You swung your robot's fists with the analogue sticks.
