He could try copying another player's .dat file over yours, however that would have the side effect of you losing any items you were carrying and getting a copy of the other players items.
Though that's the brutish method of doing things, he could try finding another solution, or teleporting you the second you join. If he gave me OP I could try it.

Guys, I'm probably going to turn off instability in Mystcraft worlds, a. they make the server lag, b. they make people crash (especially explosions.)
If anyone wants to oppose to this decision, just post and nag at me.

Okay nebbinb, post when you're out of 43 and I'll re enable decay, for now it's disabled so a. you can get out and b. it make server lag. but once you're out I'm re enabling it to make it more balanced without the srever lagging as much (I'm only re enabling the decay where the blocks takeover the world, and the player potion-y effects, nothing else.)

basically a upgraded quantum chestpiece, lets you fly too.
And I don't necessarily plan on getting EE either, it's cool and all but, not for this place.

v1.4a works with the files in the op (1.3.2). And there's already a 1.4.2 version available for when that time comes.

You could also try switching to the FTB modpack and adding, logistics pipes, and inventory tweaks to it. Its got all the same stuff, just completely up to date and all that (1.4.2). Not sure if the world(s) would be compatible though because of all the block ID business.
Also the reason gates and things don't show up for BuildCraft is that Forestry is overriding a lot of the associated IDs.
