One of the best shooters to ever brace the consoles.

I remember blowing up the big tank in one of the levels and loving it very much.

The replay value of this game was phenomenal. Went through the game four times for all three alternate endings and the special forth one.

Yeah, it's pretty much the best thing to come out of gaming since its inception.

It's a shame dev progress is so slow, the community was really alive 3 or 4 years ago, now it's sort of dead

Absolutely amazing game. The scenery, the soundtrack, the voice acting, the combat, it's all extremely well done.
Red Baron II/3D

The vanilla game was loads of fun. Mods like Von Tom's Campaign Manager and total conversions like Full Canvas Jacket made it probably the most enjoyable combat flight sim ever created up to Rise of Flight. Even now, 14 years after it was released, people still play it.
You just bought it for the pizza coupon fightass.

It's pretty much the Mass Effect before Mass Effect existed.
"Working with award-winning science fiction author Orson Scott Card, GlyphX Games has created a gripping storyline that will thrust gamers and readers alike into an incredible intergalactic saga. In Advent Rising, players make decisions that effect not only what they experience in the first game, but the entire Advent trilogy."
Sound familiar?

Graphics were none too hot but the gameplay was pretty top-notch, especially the co-op mode. Multiplayer is a blast too (I WILL GET YOU, SKY CAPTAIN!)

Not 100% sure it's underrated, but it really is better than Mario Kart in every conceivable way.

This whole series is beyond brilliant. Great gameplay, great world, great story, INCREDIBLE voice acting...it's fantastic.
fuck psi ops, my dad bought this game for me for ps2 for 50 bucks.
I begged him every weekend to buy it for me and finally one day he said "FINE LETS GO" and pulled it out under the couch cushion. He bought it the day before :v:

I thought mixing giant robots and military operations/tactics would be a horrible idea but it's actually pretty great and it's actually pretty challenging even when you take time to set up the mission plan.

One of the greatest game I've ever played. TS2 goes aswell, get either of them, they are both underrated gems.
not underrated in the slightest bit, pretty much everyone holds them in really high regard
not saying it's bad, shits cash as FUCK
News to me, not a single kid I knew played this game, and the only people I knew who played it were the guys on the official forums

Amazing RTS game, had it on the PS1 I think 1999-200 when I was 4-5.
Good times, started playing it again on PC.

incredibly glitchy, but the story, humour, gameplay, and just about everything else is absolutely magnificent.

It's more or less Professor Layton with a creepy atmosphere. I really enjoyed it, even if it's rather short.
Monday Night Combat

was dismissed early on as being a TF2 clone but really introduces amazingly fun DOTA style gameplay in the form of a great multiplayer FPS.

Fucking love this game.

I got this game for my brother on my birthday (I was like 10 or so) and he played it for an hour and never played it again. Seriously, it's still sitting on our shelf, hasn't been touched in 4-6 years.

Is Planescape really underrated? I just thought the reason I hear so little about it is because it's an older title, not so much because it wasn't praised by anyone who played it.
The saboteur! damn man that game was great fun! running around Paris blowing up nazis and driving around in stolen tanks! I loved the characters too and I found the story fantastic! it was also the last game made by pandemic studios, I hope that someone makes A sequel to it it was sooo good!

Silent Storm - Due to poor marketing basically nobody noticed it.

It's a turnbased shooter, one of my all time favourites. Great game overall.

Eh, I could've spent $3.75 on something better, "DOTA style" isn't my style apparently.

Dark Cloud. Good atmosphere, great soundtrack, and a nice unique system of play. You piece the world back together with parts you find in dungeons and you don't level up, your weapons do and you can mix them. There's also a hell of a story behind it.

Also Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit
It has a point about near the final third where shit just get's too crazy, but other than that it was excellent. The story was good, gameplay very interesting and unique and has some cool action sequences.

It doesn't show it in that one, but it has a Simon Says like game where you hit buttons in rhythm. Mess up and you lose a life and such.
It was by the same people who made Heavy Rain and you can see a lot of what they took from Fahrenheit in it.

Fuck.
you.
I haven't played that in so many years and I fucking loved it. I wanted to emulate it but the only download was cancelled. I cant play on my Gcube either because its broken and I sold my Wii to help buy a computer.

FPS with stealth elements, I had lots of fun with this one.
I second Evil Genius.
Brilliant game. Only thing that bothered me about it was some bugs, and slight annoyances with certain missions that you had to do over again and again.
