Did they ever fix the client downloader? It constantly reset on me if I lost connection, PC restarted, etc, so I never actually finished downloading everything. Back when I played this I split my time between my Marksman and that guardian class. If I felt like hacking things up I'd go the melee class, if I felt like kiting everything I'd go marksman, both were pretty fun. I was pretty much indestructible later on as the melee guy thanks to my heavy armor and abilities.
How do the pet classes play? I play a Blademaster.

for engineer you get to summon a drone that uses a pretty weak laser beam to attack with, but later on in the skill tree you can attach guns and swords and armor on it. there's also the bots skill tree that lets you summon up to 2 bots at a time along with the drone and the bots range from rocket bots to kamikaze bots.

then the third skill tree is the spec ops tree which just gives you skills for your own guy to use.
I have a summoner alt that plays apparently not unlike engineer. You can have demons and elementals, but what I really like is the non-summoning spells so you can use your minions to tank and just DPS the fuck out of messengers.
Man, I just got a Zeus Rifle. Paired with the Sniper skill, it's basically one-shotting everything. Loses energy fast (when in Sniper mode) but it's still pretty damn good. It also arcs to nearby enemies making crowd control not a huge problem (though sometimes rapid fire with a rifle is a better fit).

How do you guys like so far? I remember when I was younger (Some of you may remember my posts) I was absolutely obsessed with this bloody game. Too bad what Flagship shipped was a rickety old ship, and a sunken one at that. lol? We all should play together some time. I'll get into the game sooner or later :)
I'm still playing every day.
I got to lvl 13 before I deleted everything. Graphics are trash along with the gameplay imo. The pass to get Act3-Abyss is rather easy to get. You can easily make 400k by the time you get to that part. The drop rate is insanely high so you can find some pretty good weapons/armour/relics and stuff and never have to buy anything.

I would play this more if I didn't have a horrendous mouse bug, whenever I click, it thinks I am holding down the mouse button until I move the mouse at all. This makes using any sort of interface fucking abhorrent.

My download is almost done, about another 15 minutes. What server do you guys play on?
Only one server is playable: T3Fun :). I'm now a level 14 engineer rocking a drone with a gatlin rifle, and I'm pretty much just soloing through the everything at the moment. Very fun game, and very fast paced sometimes! I now have 106,000 Palladium, but have accumulated a total of around 200,000. Money is far, FAR easier than the original game...oh my goodness.

Bumpin' this. Got a level 12 Marksman named Bendak, Guardian is level 16 now. It feels like they upped a lot of the stat requirements for gear. In the original game I almost never had any issues equipping things, but on my Guardian I'm constantly struggling with my Stamina feed limit. STR is okay because of that passive that can reduce it, but Stamina gets filled up like crazy. So far I've upgraded my weapon/shield one too many times twice and been unable to requip them cause of Stamina reqs. Game's pretty fun, but it makes me wish that a proper Hellgate London MMO had survived. I'd pay a monthly fee if it had been way more polished and not owned by Koreans.

I recall running into that problem all the time in the original version.
This is kind of a dumb question, but how can you be sure you're speaking in a chat and not just the local, instance/station chat? The UI is a little clunky
