Is anyone else's strategy when playing Escort when defending the tank to just sit behind the tank the whole time and immediately start repairing as soon as it gets damaged? Seriously, it works almost all the time because nobody ever seems to think tossing a grenade nearby it is a good idea.
I toss nades and run up with a shotgun to counter people like you
So I got a new graphics card and a mouse and started up AVA immediately, hoping to go on a mad winning streak since I wouldn't be hindered by my broken ball mouse. Then I discovered that AVA crashes with my new video card. :smith:

Game is good (For a F2P), and I'm enjoying so far, I'm content with my class Weapons too; the HK416 for Rifleman and Walther Wa-2000 for Marksman. Also got a 7-Day STG-44 from a quick match of Survival the other night. As far as a weapon for my Pointman class, I blew a good chunk of my money on the MP5SD5, but the range is so horrible its impossible to kill someone unless their leaning into your face. An suggestions on what I should buy? The SG552, Kriss Super V, and the MP7A1 all look interesting to me but I want to be absolutely sure on my decision before I buy.
MP7 is supposedly one of the best pointman guns. I personally just started using the Bizon on my weapons testing alt. Holy hell. Now I know why everybody says to avoid the Bizon, just like how they said to avoid the SPAS-15 in the korean beta testing. It's not because it's bad, it's because it's horrifically powerful. 53 round magazine with an upgrade that sucks away 11 ammo capacity, almost no recoil, fast rate of fire, everything. With both damage upgrades it does 35 damage a shot, which is roughly equal to the M16 in power but with almost no recoil. The only real downside to it is it's pitiful range, up close with it you'll more or less murder anybody not carrying a shotgun or quickscoping, but outside of the damage dropoff you'll have to empty 10-20 rounds to get the job done. I'm in love.
Bizon is the best, I've got the spider capsule version too, it's great except for that damage dropoff.
Any fix for the the gun sounds cutting out?
If the enemy is out for blood, you're not really safe in that position, unless you have teammates constantly putting the pressure on the enemy.
Well, I guess the people that I keep getting in games with aren't very smart. They just sit there and keep shooting it with the RPG, and then the tank keeps moving 10 seconds later after I repair it. None of them think of just shooting me. It is a lot harder when my team doesn't help me, though. Once I was the only person on my team who cared about the tank at all. Everyone else was sitting there sniping random enemies, and not even the ones who were using RPGs.
Any fix for the the gun sounds cutting out?
Go into the game's audio settings and set channels to "32". Any other option creates massive sound issues.
I played this game last summer and it ran fine using ijji, and I decided to play again so I installed it on Steam, but now whenever I move my mouse the game lags. Even on the menu, everything is smooth until I move my mouse. Happens on low settings too. What's going on here, does anyone know?
Won myself one of these today.
Why do I have so much trouble getting money?
Why do I have so much trouble getting money?
Once you do all the newbie challenges, you don't actually earn money unless you fill your supply bar or do certain challenges. So conserve your newbie money. :v:

Actually, I take that back. If you're really desperate for money, the scenario missions like prison break and stuff give you green boxes that give you amounts of euros depending on how many you get, and higher amounts of them actually give you items like the STG44 and Kar98. That's your next best bet short of challenges and supply. As far as I know, the rewards for playing on easy mode really suck though, so you'll need to play regular or extreme to actually get anything worth your time.
What sucks is that if you go over 2 (which gets you 500 Euros) you don't get the 500 Euros.
Actually it's 3 for the 500 euros, 2 gives you 100-200 last time I checked. Me and 3 other dudes who were surprisingly good just played, we always lost at 4 though and got the 1 day STG44. Too bad it doesn't add up, otherwise I'd have like a year on the damn thing's expiration date. :v:
Is it just me or does it take forever to level up?
After 30 minutes of failed updates, refusing to launch, firewall issues, not connecting to the main server I got it to work, finally!
Is anyone else getting a 406 error while trying to start it up in Steam?
Im just getting "steam session ticket" bullshit.
Read this thread for a little bit and it looks quite good. Installing now.
Im just getting "steam session ticket" bullshit.
Restart Steam.
It fixed itself. Also the new Zombie whatever mode is pretty fun.
Infection mode is way unbalanced in my opinion. Scenarios are the only gamemode I enjoy in this game. Any player vs. player is just quickscoping.
Either I'm really good, or the people I'm playing with suck. I just played 3 rounds of Cold Storage and went 34-6 pretty much every time.
