I have a mixed feelings about this. I'm sure many people'll disagree but I'm not really into the whole XP-thing. I don't really see what could be so useful about a leveling system. What 'skills' would you be able to increase? Run faster? Mine faster? More health? For some reason, I don't want to see this in the game. Surely the leveling system will encourage people to keep on playing, but won't the game become too easy once you've reached the highest possible level? Like when you're playing Oblivion, you've maxed all your skills out, and well, you're running at 50mph and everything instantly dies when you punch it. So I just hope Notch'll take it easy on the benefits you get from leveling up. I personally think he implemented the whole XP-thing just to be able to introduce the permadeath system. Simply to add a challenge to the game. Oh god I really don't want to die now because I'm level 69 and I'll lose all my skill improvements or whatever. Not a bad idea but then again it's not that hard to survive in Minecraft, just take your precautions. Here's what I want: BETTER AI: - Mobs that live in packs, work together, attack together - Mobs can track down player, light attracts them at night (for instance) - Mobs can ambush the player, even in daytime when forests provide sufficient cover for example - Perhaps new mob type(s) that can lure in the dark and hit the player by surprise, instead of the current system where mobs randomly walk around I think stuff like that would seriously make this game a lot more challenging, the addition of hunger does that too, farming becomes vital to survival. And boy do I love farming! I would die for new things to farm!
I really don't give a shit about XP as long as I get to keep my worlds.
This works with the way I play Minecraft. I build a little "cloning chamber" around my spawn and pretend that every time I die a clone takes my place.
I had a fucking nightmare about the new mobs last night. They were disassembling a bedrock tower piece by piece and I was watching them, helpless
Just so you all know, the mobs name is "Endermen".
Anyone else think it would be cool if there was a mob that had ability to make an area around itself dark? As in all surfaces within a 6 block radius would be at the lowest light level.
NoNoNoNoNoNo! NO! The longer you play, the bigger the risk of dying there is. That means that you can get a crap ton of things and get your ass kicked and lose it all. When it should be easy. I want it toggle-able. Also, Permadeath? No. No. No. I'm standing by the fact that it would be fun - But it would get annoying and harsh too quickly.
Oh god I hope one day you try to log in on your account and it says: account not found. At least do some research before you start whining like a little bitch.
