Having 2 screens is pretty nice, I can keep Facepunch on one and the stream in fullscreen on the other, which spares me from the chat pretty nicely

He's just using the default Java libraries. He puts an array of pixels into a BufferedImage which is drawn onto a JFrame, as I recall. All the 3D was manually written by Notch.
what is he working on ?
that boulder would confuse players if not explained decently, I wouldn't be able to know what it is without seeing the progress of making it.

I didnt watch it 100% of the time, but as far as I saw his 2D bitmap drawing code is slower than his 3D code
