It may make sense at one point in the future when the prices of chips are low so people can't sell them for a lot while the price of actual items are fairly high.
Why would you buy the phones/collector items?
No one can see your inventory and you can't DO anything with ANY item except the crafting ones.

If they were set to a min of $2 then it wouldn't be worth it to buy a $2 and craft. Have the minimum selling price be $1 so it's not worth it to buy then sell instantly either.
