Starcraft 2 scales down to shit computers, they will probably scale this game really well too. Btw don't trust anything you see in Blizzcon footage or on screenshots because 90% of the stuff will be changed before release.
[thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/Diablo3.jpg[/thumb] Look at the detail on those items THAT ARE ONLY FOR SHOWING PURPOSES ONLY HOLY SHIT.
Artisans are gonna be awesome. Starting out with a blacksmith with a wagon and then towards the end of the game he has his own supermarket of deadly stuff.
Can I run this game with an HD3470?
Will you add new information to this thread or make a new Diablo 3 megathread? This one seems unfinished/abandoned. Edit: More stuff added - ignore this post :)
A link the the skilltrees in the wiki article would've sufficed. You leave out a lot of potential information that would've be useful, or more interesting than a bunch of skill trees. Backstory, official trailers, skill runes, features like the blacksmith and such. Instead you just copy/pasted a bunch of random stuff and clicked "post". This isn't a megathread. This is random parts of a wikipedia article. People aren't going to read all of that. [editline]13th July 2011[/editline] There's apparently a jewelcrafting NPC who will craft your regular gems into the square/round/star subtypes. Possibly giving different bonuses or something.
"bunch of skill trees. Backstory, official trailers, skill runes," I was gunna post a link to a skill tree but then I forgot. Back story no one cares about cause we both know you and me are skipping every video in diablo 2 and 3!!! Skill runes are there?? But not totally finished. Bro, I already put a lot of work into this and shit even this took long, fuck, if you did something like this, and more i give ya props, but the skills only was a really long time. And shit I didnt wanna do it considering i felt like it was work. But I do like the game alot so I tried to do my own thread. Shit bro, you can at least give me props, besides complaining about dumb shit. A human being had to make this. Not like the "world" that makes wiki you dumbass. @laenger: What else do you want me to add at the moment? I mean I could but its gunna take a bit. I made this thread with like 4 days then I decided to post it. I thought a lot of this was the main stuff ya know, but I could be wrong, if you guys think other stuff should be posted then tell me what and I'd see what I can do! :) Edit: It looks unpolished (the thread) cause I'm having a hard time trying to edit the thread in a "Advanced" mode, besides the quick edit, so It makes it hard for me to edited it.
Does anyone know how many ACTS will the game have?
I'll probably not be alive when this is finally released.
Does anyone know how many ACTS will the game have?
Pretty sure its rumored to be the same amount of Diablo 2 actually. Plus Blizzard likes to make squeals VERY similar to their first versions of games. Like Starcraft for sure. [editline]14th July 2011[/editline]
I'll probably not be alive when this is finally released.
Supposed to be out by at least at the end of the year. I really believe that though, considering the amount of information out there pointing to the end of the year. One leaked date is December 15th. But Im pretty postive that its gunna come out this year. Theres even interviews stating from Blizzard, saying the game is done, all they are doing is polishing it and thats its. We all know open beta is gunna be polished as hell considering Blizzard wouldnt wanna give out a beta to public, cause well its the public, one HUGE BAD BUG could fuck all sales. So we know once that beta comes out that game is like totally ready for release, if anything updates for it will be balances issues for PvP I'm guessing??? I really think this is how its gunna go.

Public ones are usually stress tests on the servers.
Awesome thread thanks, hadn't realised there was such an expansive view of most of the character abilities already
i want this.
I know this is the Diablo 3 megathread, but this question isn't threadworthy. If I have never played Diablo 2, is it still worth a purchase? I have played games such as Titan Quest and Torchlight, and I don't know if they have outdated Diablo 2. Also, I could just wait for Diablo 3.

To the points, where you gotta put ur eyes straight on the screen to see your armor, then yeah buy it. I was a HUGE cs 1.6 players, and still play it time to time. But Diablo 2 is just a game I could not EVER get into, no matter how much I try playing it. But like I LOVE dungeon crawlers btw, I mean I bought torchlight, titan quest, dungeon siege 1 & 2, I've played many dungeon crawlers, including Sacred, but I dunno. Just can't get into it. I think it has to do with me not being there when the game was launched, and what not. I mean, I played "newer" dungeon crawlers before I played Diablo 2. So thats my backstory, but I did buy it too try it. Just couldn't get with it though. But I'm soo fucking pumped for Diablo 3, I mean, anyone would be if they seen the gameplay videos. Seriously, like look at beta that come out. Its common sense bro. Its the way the world works. If people seen a buggy beta, shit everytime someone goes to buy it, there gunna ask "did they fix the bugs in the beta or na?" Cmon now man... this is stuff people ask about till this day with games.

Though for some reason I appear to be the only person who thinks diablo's graphics actually look good, I'll admit that after a while of playing at the maximum resolution of 800x600 my eyes start to hurt as well. From what I understand the multiplayer has basically been screwed over for a long time now, so if you're going to buy it, keep in mind that you'll either be playing singleplayer of multiplayer with friends. Other than that it's still a good game.
Uh I actually still like Diablo 2 graphics, they're all dark and gritty and stuff and are really effective. Maybe it's because I was playing Diablo 2 since it came out but I love the graphics, and the gameplay is unmatched for me in any game so far Wait what's screwed about the multiplayer? Last time I played (like a year ago) battle.net worked fine, MP was fine

I wasn't so into computers back then like I am now. I'm 21 too, so that was when I was super young.
Oh man I can't wait for this, I've been playing a lot of diablo2 recently. I just hope they won't dumb Diablo 3 down too much.

I could be wrong though.
I never played multiplayer much to be honest. I had just heard that for the most part it's populated by bots nowadays. Not much of a problem.

Also, I could just wait for Diablo 3.
To this day Diablo 2, with the expansion, is still the best loot hack n slash game. You will grind for loot in this game like you never did in Titan Quest or Torchlight. No other game has done loot drops right like this game did. That said, I'm not sure how long it is till Diablo 3 comes out. I'm pretty sure once that game comes out then there won't be much reason to play Diablo 2. So if you get D2 you'll enjoy it but I don't know for how long.
I think the Painterly look of D3 has grown on me.
If you need a good dungeon crawler to keep you occupied until D3 comes out, try out Titan Quest. It's an awesome diablo-style game that has a lot of unique features. The only bad thing I can think off is that it doesn't have something like Battle.net, so multiplayer is crawling with dupers and stuff. Also, Progz, I'd be willing to make a Diablo 3 megathread, to show you how it's done, but that might be considered bad form. Unless you don't mind me making a new one, ofcourse.

coming in 2021
There will be about 15 different colors of dye, which players can apply to their character's armor. Dyeing (not dying) will change the color of an item in some aesthetically-pleasing way. Items are designed to be dyed; the whole thing doesn't change color, but just some portion of it; usually just an outline or a stripe or sash, depending on the item. Armor dyeing is purely cosmetic; there's no performance benefit; you can't get camouflage or anything like that. It's just something for players to have fun with and give their character some originality. Dyes are found in various levels of rarity, and there will be some ultra-rare dyes. Dyes can not be salvaged though, so ones you are not going to use or trade can be sold, or dropped/ignored. Armor dyes can be found or purchased, and there will be rarer dyes as well as more common ones. For instance, a shade of red may be found all the time, but a darker shade might be much less common, and thus all the more desired. (source: http://diablo.incgamers.com)

To be honest I dont remember what was missing after looking through your OP again. Maybe you added it :)
When does this come out? I'm going to buy it with my friend. Coop will be fun.
Pure black or pure white for lyfe.
I was blown away when I found out you'll be able to use dyes. Thats just amazing, makes customization on a whole another level!
