They're trying to hit a relevant market at the right time while working towards their big seller. Even if it doesn't hit consoles as hard as they hope they're still going to have a shit ton of CS players going for CS:GO on PC and as Smashman said, they're funding in collaboration not actually putting a workforce behind it.
