My favorite line in L4D2: "Tits!"
TIME TO MAKE SOME ZOMBIE SOUP!
and its funny to hear from nick:
I was saving this for me, but..... what the hell
One of my favorites is in Dark Carnival 3, the Tunnel of Love:
Nick: You could almost call this a cement river, Ellis!
Ellis: Ha-ha.
I'm fine with Rochelle. I'm not really sure why you guys hate her, she's somewhat charming and comedical. I don't really find her voice annoying, cause she usually says something funny with it.
Most people hate her for that reason, I hate her as a bot when I'm playing with my brother. She steals pills, weapons, and she keeps getting herself into trouble, which got us killed once. It's just annoying.
I'd play as Rochelle if I didn't already play as Nick.

All bots have their own weapon preference (Ellis/Francis prefer snipers, Nick and Rochelle/Bill and Zoey prefer rifles, and Coach/Louis prefer shotguns), but other than that they usually all act the same.
I wanted to like L4D2 more, but I just had more fun with the first.
In the final level of the Sacrifice, Louis is almost always the one to grab pills before anyone else in that dark room just before the open area. I don't believe they have special programming, but every now and then things like that keep happening.
I don't believe Valve would've had the tender-love-and-care for for things like that, given most of L4D/L4D2, but sometimes I just don't know. For the longest time I thought Zoey's "zombies killed God" line was unused, but it does occur ingame very rarely. Valve goes to ridiculous lengths for the darndest things you'll barely notice, and sometimes even for things completely ass-backwards. They published an entire presentation on how they think changing grayscale color sliders on wife-beater/t-shirt/dress-shirt L4D2 zombies is somehow better variation than business/police/TSA/military/construction/patient/nurse/hair-colors/rural/casual zombies.

The bots randomly will jump off ledges, not attempting to grab them as they fall to their deaths. While Rochelle may've been the derpbot for you, the Survivor AI is shit when they're in 'Follow the Leader' mode. (Not the Infected AI, they have derp moments but are pretty fucking clever.)
Ironically, I remember someone made a plugin that created the L4D1 NPCs from The Passing in any campaign (and there was another plugin where, if there was no leading player, bots could lead themselves); they rushed, they tore enemies apart, and they could complete maps pretty well - they even triggered the Dead Center 1 elevator, crescendo events, finales and otherwise on their own and responded promptly. Which literally means that, in both games, the bots are purposefully shit in everything but aim to co-balance the player(s).

That's literally the stupidest thing they could ever do.
"Let's make our bots seem dumb as shit, you know, to balance the players!"

If a bot with near-perfect aim and moderate (although sometimes poor) reflexes rushed ahead of you on every playthrough, it wouldn't be very fun now would it? Although it's ridiculous, I suppose it was done that way so that player(s) could go at their own pace instead of the bots racing them everywhere, and to put more 'emphasis' on the player(s).

There's a difference between "dumb as shit" and being able to handle itself without needing help from players.
Just make the bots stay with the player, running ahead would be a non-issue.

In L4D1, Francis prefers shotguns, Zoey prefers the Hunting Rifle, and Bill & Louis prefer rifles.
L4D, because it's harder, has better maps and athmosphere and better characters.
In L4D there was no defibs, no adrenaline, no melee weapons (The melee weapons are extremely overpowered, you can cut down an entire horde with 2 swings.)
L4D only has like 3 guns lol
L4D is better as a game with substance and plot, and a hell of a lot more polish.
L4D2 is better at being a multiplayer game, but it was and still is no where near as polished as l4d 1 was.
I enjoy both, but i'd prefer the new bots and levels added to l4d1 rather than l4d2.
L4D only has like 3 guns lol
6 actually, you don't need more than that.

And in L4D there were no chargers or spitters or jockeys, which can pretty much break the most used strategies. And in L4D2 instead of being able to sit in corners to kill the horde without a problem, you mostly had to run through hordes to deactivate what was summoning them. I wouldn't really call L4D2 a walk in the park.

But what if it does work? :v:
L4D2 sucks pretty bad imo, that you can't spam the melee.
L4D2 sucks pretty bad imo, that you can't spam the melee.
Why do you think melee weapons were introduced? :v:

Never got that far, did a ragequit when i couldn't pounce off the zombies that slow you down to 0.1mph :v:
Never got that far, did a ragequit when i couldn't pounce off the zombies that slow you down to 0.1mph :v:
Then you have no valid reason to hate it if you've barely played it. Come back after you've completed every campaign at least once.
L4D2 sucks pretty bad imo, that you can't spam the melee.
They limited the melee so that you can't "closet" by just standing your back to the wall spamming melee but it does indeed get annoying when your only weapon is a melee weapon and you can't spam it.
Throw bile bomb, use adrenaline, pick up machete, run, hack and slash.
Adrenaline won't make you faster than a charger. Throwing a bile bomb on a special won't stop them all and throwing it on the ground won't make the specials go there. Trying to slash a charging charger or a jockey on your head tends to not work.
Since they are porting all the L4D1 campaigns to L4D2, I'd say L4D2.
L4D2 has more weapons also, but to be honest I like L4D1 more just for the atmosphere and characters. And the fact that they hold an SMG properly in front of them and not right next to their fucking head.
They limited the melee so that you can't "closet" by just standing your back to the wall spamming melee but it does indeed get annoying when your only weapon is a melee weapon and you can't spam it.
You can spam melee weapons, you just can't spam the right-click bash that knocks zombies back.
You can spam melee weapons, you just can't spam the right-click bash that knocks zombies back.
I feel that the melee weapons are balanced, too - if you're careless, common infected can eat you up. If you spend too much time on a crowd, specials can get you while you're distracted. And unless you're damn good, almost all the specials can generally fuck you up if you get too close (making Jockeys, Hunters and Chargers have a field day if you can't nail them first).
Then you have no valid reason to hate it if you've barely played it. Come back after you've completed every campaign at least once.
I don't have it, and neither am i buying it.
But what if it does work? :v:
It never works without more gun.
