Something I recently found out. If you're making a mossy cobblestone structure dont use "//set 48" or variations. Use "//set 60%48,40%4". Looks much nicer IMO.
Op is dumb :D
Op is dumb :D
No shit.
I smell bad op
Taken you 34 posts to notice eh?
Either way these are all useful in creating something in minecraft :P
Holy shit, I wondered how this thread was staying alive. And it's all because you reply after practically every comment. This is a stupid thread idea, it could have been said alot better. Such as "World Editing Help" or "World Editing Discussion". Stop bumping this thread up to the top, and just ignore it.
Op sounds like he came from Gaia or something. On topic, I'm pretty insane at worldedit after running a server with the plugin for a bit less than 6 months.
Does anyone know a way to make an extremely large desert?
WorldEdit for either SSP or SMP VoxelSniper if you want a more advanced, but easy to use SMP plugin.
VoxelSniper is advanced and simpler at the same time. This was my first time using VoxelSniper. There's a lot of really neat things you can easily grab hold of, then there's some pretty advanced shit there too
Thanks! I'll be sure to look into it :D Maybe improve my own world editing skills along the way? :3: [editline]4th August 2011[/editline] Oh wait... That means it's for a SMP server :(
I wouldn't type like this on Facepunch if I were you unless you want to be eaten alive.
You know what's the best thing to do with Voxelsniper? Replacing air with tnt.
You know what's the best thing to do with Voxelsniper? Replacing air with tnt.
No no no the best thing is warping with lighting effects
VoxelSniper. Best world editing plugin.
My friend has the VoxelBox on his server that i go on, i have to say, using VoxelSniper to make huge canyons is pretty badass and easy to do
Hey guys look I made a creeper statue!
Does anyone know a way to make an extremely large desert?
Single player commands works great. I used it to make Survival Desert.
I like MCedit better.
Worldedit isn't very hard at all. Especially if you read the thread sk89q made or anything in the wiki. What makes it EVEN EASIER is to download this http://wiki.sk89q.com/wiki/WorldEdit/Client_addon Edit:
If you guys come up with any features you want implemented, I could ask SK about them. [editline]6th August 2011[/editline] He's a pretty chill guy.
Is there any world editing mod that is almost guaranteed not to corrupt worlds? I am trying to convince the people in my Minecraft server to let me install one, but they don't want one till we know for sure.

They don't corrupt worlds unless you do it youself (IE '//replacenear 256 air water' with WorldEdit)
VoxelSniper and WorldEdit? They don't corrupt worlds unless you do it youself (IE '//replacenear 256 air water' with WorldEdit)
Or:
With VoxelSniper: /vr 0 /v 8 /b (Number over 20) /b br Then right click with arrow anywhere...
Here is something I did with VoxelSniper, This is only a basic demostration of what I can do but....whatever it's good enough I guess :D I purposly did it in a snow biome cause it just shows you.....well it shows nothing, I just felt like making a random island of grass in the middle of a snow biome :3 Also just my thoughts on voxelsniper and worldedit: I find worldedit mostly usefull for creating cuiboids which I can then use voxelsniper over, normally for more squared snipes. I do use worldedit for draining stuff, filling stuff and other usefull little things like that but I mainly draw my attention to voxelsniper, reason being is that it's fast, easy and alot of fun to literly watch a landscape evolve in front of your eyes as your flying through the air. It has alot of eroding brushes that come with presets but you can also customize that. There is shape brushes, fun brushes for stuff like riding on people's heads, making a mass heatwave or if your more of a destroyer you can just simple crunch the land down 20-30 layers to create canyons.
Does anyone know a way to make an extremely large desert?
Do //replacenear 500 dirt sand and then //replacenear 500 grass sand. Desert, fuck yeah. Then do //replacenear 500 leaves air and then //replacenear 500 log cactus. Then it's got cacti in it too. Make sure there's no dirt, leaves, logs, grass, or sand part of your house. Alternatively, if you're making it for an entire map, not just a single large section, consider using the primordial desert map generator.
It's a shame I haven't found a VoxelSniper like-function for Singleplayer. Making organic structures is a BITCH in MCEdit without some real skills. I can level the terrain in that, but any detail work takes hand-done work.

I want to be able to do some massive landscape forming in SP so I can build my structures in areas that I have thought up.
