Was just thinking of renewing my Eve Online subscription, but if this is legit then I'm going for this instead. Xsyson sounds like everything you want in an MMORPG.

We've got 18 members right now, which seems to be large by Xsyon standards, our own forum/vent, and currently two other facepunchers (not including me)

This game is doing what other have failed to do.

I get a "Dark Fall" feeling from this. I remember when Dark Fall Online would only let x amount of players purchase their game from the store before closing the store... I should have known. D: Not going to let that happen again.

I fell for the trap and actually bought into Darkfall -- worst $50 I'd ever spent, and I regret every cent of it. That's going to be the last time I buy into the hype for a game that I anticipated for so long. On the other hand, Xsyon looks brilliant, and I really hope that it's not some scam. I won't, however, be pre-ordering it. I've learned my lesson and for the most part skip pre-ordering any MMO's until there's at least some solid reviews or gameplay videos out no matter how many free 'founders' items or how much free gameplay time they attach to their pre-orders. Better safe than sorry.

The new expansion adds a lot of stuff to the sea, like sharks and a Kraken. For example, I was in the free trial in the Goontown, we were sailing to an island when all the fucking sudden a kraken attacks and sinks the ship. While we are swimming away from the wreck, a bunch of Great Whites attacked us. I describe the event much like the crazy shark guy in Jaws did.
