Deus Ex Megathread: "Now everyone will see why I needed a skull-gun". - Games

I played through this once (although I'd already had it spoiled for me :frown:) and, seriously, unironically, best game I've ever played. I want to do another playthrough but I can't decide on another type of character to use... so I keep restarting the first level over and over again :(

i just love how, no matter what specialities you....specialise in, there are infinite ways and methods of doing and achieving everything. i think this may have been the first and only game that ever pulled that off successfully (though im sure im soon to be corrected)

i had to cheat to beat it... ...so... ...hard.

Is there anyway to make this run in fullscreen on Windows 7? So far, i've just had an 800x600 window sitting on my desktop when I play and I have to bring my monitor to an inch from my face to play it.

I played the demo, now I want a copy so bad. And I don't see why so many people hated the first level, it seemed fine to me.

This game is pretty much my all time favourite ; Great plot, gameplay, characters... Everything about this game is just awesome on so many levels.

I remember playing the demo of Deus Ex 2 when I was little. I tried the first Deus Ex some time ago, but I didn't really like it that much, and I kept getting killed waaay in the beginning by the hands of those walking robots. Later on I read that the first (few) level(s) of the game really don't show how great the game is, so I'm wondering if I should reinstall it, and give it a second go?

It really kicks off after those levels. Also, once you complete the first level, you should have no problem completing the other levels. Also to answer your question ; yes. I was pretty much the same when i first played it. First impressions of this game are not often good.
