If you have an extra clay flute, feel free to send one my way. From what I hear people usually find it when they don't need it
My IGN is Kalij
I never knew you could go over level 100.
I am now level 105.
not cumulative.

can you quit mid snowball fight and have it count towards that quest for 5 completed games?
So I started playing last night, and I'm a level 15 fighter or whatever. I'm not sure if I'm getting the hang of it per-se, but it's pretty fun so far. I'm in alexina, name's Ibexaz if anyone wants to add me.

I've heard that the cap without rebirthing is 200.

Yep and the exploration level cap is 25.
i also got neon green fixed dye
How much does fixed go for anyway
I got a blue one from the event
Depends on the color.
If I recall correctly, white/black fixed dyes usually go for around 350k+, other dyes, well; if it's a nice shade of color, it might go for 200k - 300k. If not, 100k - 200k.
I just realized that I could squander all the NX I have on the account I'm abandoning (because nexon won't fucking change my email that no longer exists) and give myself the items on my new account.
I'm not sure what I'd get though, I guess dyes would be the smartest thing to send myself? I have 12k NX, I think.
I found this

does it count as white

nah, that looks vaguely sky blue.
You can see some pure-white fixed dye in the flashing section on the wiki:
http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Fixed_Color_Dye_Ampoule#Fixed_.28Flashing.29_Color_Dye_Ampoules
It's very close to white though, so I assume you could get some decent gold from selling it.

oh my fucking god. I just rebirthed and it's the "double rainbow event" at the moment.
I just got 70AP in 3 minutes. THREE MINUTES.
Am I lucky yet

Where are you getting these from? Buying the item shop gachapon?
Yeah I had a few bucks to waste so I bought 3, got that whiteish one, the black one and a yellowish one
RIP JOE

So far today I've only ended up on the Blue team for snowball fights. While I DID hit 33 really fast as I rebirthed today, it kind of sucks that 9 times out of 10 blue doesn't even fight back on Mari......

Ch5 alexina, it's set up so that red team wins every time. That way we all can just farm the event as quickly as possible.
I've also determined that you get placed on red team if you are one of the first 8 people to join, and get put on to blue if you're the last 8. However it's hard to tell what order you're in when there's at least 3 games backed up around joe due to the server taking forever to go through the queue. Basically, if you were just on blue, wait a little bit, and then talk to joe again.
I almost have 1mil gold saved up now from all of this!

if your email address that doesnt exist anymore hasnt been taken, you can remake it and go from there. unless you meant the email provider itself is dead or something
you could get the cheetah, its p cool. has a fairly large inventory, is the fastest land mount and you get a chance at a cheetah ear headband, which will sell for a good chunk of change

thats the entire point. its a waste of everyones time if both teams are actually fighting.

I'd totally get a pet, but I'm not sure if I can give it to the account I'm actually using.
Two days left. Aaaand I'm out of everything except bottled water, and a few bits and pieces of leftovers. Dammit.

All right, i've been doing a fair amount of farming of the snowball fight event. From what i've seen, a large majority of the community are either borderline retarded or simply just children. Now, I can understand someone being ignorant, and i'm fine with explaining how things work to most people if they're clueless. I'm talking about the people that complain they're "bored" playing a video game meant for entertainment. So instead of pressing [alt]+[tab], they attack the red team when they're on blue, or stand inside the crystal when someone is already distracting it. Or hell, just switch channels to #1 if you want to play the snowball event.
But it goes even further than that. Let me show you a simple diagram of what a "perfect" farming run would look like:

There is a sole distractor some way into the blue home spawnpoint, running back and forth, pausing when they're parallel to the snowman. This allows the other players to get literally inside of the snowman without having to fear getting hurt by the crystal. Meanwhile all of the other players are throwing snowballs while standing almost inside the snowman. This is so quick and efficient that it's actually possible to finish before there's 18:30 left on the timer.
Note that when i'm on red, my general process is to secure the spawnpoint closest to the blue team, then be the distractor for the crystal. This is mostly because very few people know how to properly distract it.
Now, compare it to what usually happens when I get stuck on blue team:

The distractor is still running back and forth (or maybe there isn't a distractor at all), but pauses are at the apex of the run instead of the center. Now, there's nothing fundamentally wrong with the way this distractor runs, but it's not as efficient as the first example. This time, you also have some "bored" child standing right next to the crystal. Meanwhile the other red players are scattered about (or AFK) throwing snowbombs which do only 1 damage to the snowman and take a very long time to charge. You also have a few "bored" blue members attacking the red team.
At least now i have 10 caravan joe giftboxes unused. And total level 301.
Eh, on Mari we only get the occasional person who gets stuck on blue and tries to mess it up
People know not to throw snowbombs, people know not to have more than one person distracting (though usually it's because they dunno how) and people just wail on the snowman. Things normally end at about 17:30, far longer if blue are trying to dick about.
Found Shock page 2 killing an ancient frail green kiwi in Cor, dur
Don't know how much is worth or even if it's rare and I can't be arsed to find a buyer before it expires so if anyone is interested I'll give it away to whoever promises to help me finish g1 (that is if you're able to more or less reliably finish the last few dungeons solo, or can find someone to help)
Well, i finally figured out how to tell which chest is "the real one" in those rooms with 4 chests. It's not very helpful for you people with a high ranked windmill, but it's great for mages.
here's two screenshots of the same room, from opposite angles. See if you can tell which one is the real chest:
[t]http://i.imgur.com/ZC5M2.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/4ImlF.jpg[/t]
Did you notice the difference? Here's the answer:
[t]http://i.imgur.com/FjKg9.jpg[/t]
If you'll go back and look at the first 2 pictures, you'll see that that chest is a little farther back into the corner than the others. It's even more noticeable when you try to get behind the chests themselves.
Dunno if I'm going to the store today, would be nice if I could get a quick dropoff at Rite-Aid. Ya know?
And about the above poster and his uhh, chests.
There's also mimic finder AI for Pets. All I have to do is set one of my pets to smash, and wait a few moments. They'll sniff out the mimics.
There's other methods from back in the day, but I don't know if they work anymore.
However, you are the first to notice their positions, HeroicPillow. Buuuut I don't know how well that'll work in a situation with a ton of chests.
I guess that's because the chests spawn in a predefined place but the mimics can spawn in a certain area, being monsters?
I always found that in a room with multiple chests, there would always be four in the corner and one of those would be the real one, never the ones not in the corners

Yea, the real chest is only ever in a corner. In a room with like 8+ chests, the mimics take the spawn points of normal monsters that you see walking around. So it's safe to ignore one that isn't in the corner.
It's still hard for me to tell which one is the "real" one when they spawn in a corridor (rather than a room) though.

But those are fun to windmill.
But those are fun to windmill.
For warriors, yes. But for most mages who only do 20-50 damage with their typical rank F windmill, no.
Most of the time I end up doing this process as a mage:
- Windmill
- Counterattack
- Load up firebolt/lightning and hope to kill it in 1 shot
- If not, defend or windmill again.
Definitely not enjoyable, as bolts can't be cast upon undiscovered mimics.
[editline]7th January 2013[/editline]
i'm sure it's even worse for a bowman.
[editline]7th January 2013[/editline]
no wait, it might be easier as a bowman.
