Mabinogi Megathread v1 - Look past the "Kawaii Desu"

I forgot to pull my swords out of my VIP inventory tab, so now my good sword and my spirit weapon are trapped in there until february 11th, when the charge limit lets me spend my money on nexon again
luckily I got my two battle swords, and nothing else was lost to the clutches of the VIP tab
So this one random guy adds me to his friendlist and I accept out of sheer curiosity

I heard unknow24 is an idiot many times before.
Also, I'm thinking of changing officer rank off of Scoot. She doesn't play enough.
(Hell, I don't play enough on my main. Doesn't help that I recently discovered how much I like the Tales of ... series.)
So... Who wants officer after I get Mabinogi working?
does anyone know how much of an effect map changing has on bandit spawns? ive only been carrying 10-20k worth of goods for the past two days, only map move a couple times and yet still manage to run into hardened bandits pretty often, even though wiki says they're common around 55k+ ducats
am i just unlucky or what
Question.
Does anybody even care about the Guild at this point?
no
I still put points in, but not gold because I don't know what direction the guild is gonna go in. :v:
90% of the times I play I'm the only one online
If anyone has spare ores/fragments I'll gladly take off your hands for a reasonable price. I need mainly silver but I'm interested in iron and gold aswell. Just no bloody copper because my inventory is already full of the damn crap
note kalij yadda yadda
Well, it's getting close to the point where my premium cuts off. I can still extend it without starting Mabinogi. But... If nobody really cares, that's $25 down the drain technically.
So I might as well just say...
Rate this dumb if you don't want the guild.
Rate this friendly if you still want the guild.
Better then just taking a whole post just to say "no".
I've been on and off mainly because my video card is kinda fried, but I still put points into the guild

Dragon Eater song reminds me of Falcom's music

Honestly I'd only do it if you want premium for yourself; there's not a whole lot of us that play this game to be in the guild, and the ones that are on, aren't normally on at the same time. I don't think it's worth the $25 per month for a group of maybe 10 people to have a guild and only 2 or 3 of them on at any given moment. I did enjoy being in it though, if you decide against keeping it.

Well, I'm pretty unsure. Which is why I asked in the first place. But if people are enjoying it, what's the harm? But then there's another thought that it really isn't enough people for a Guild. Also, I could just not refresh the membership. Still get the card, and save it for when we actually have more people that want to join. Because even if I don't refresh my membership, the Guild is still there. The Guild stone just disappears.
Eh, more broken events
valentine day dungeon gives upgrade stones and 10 cm diamonds like there's no tomorrow
Felt like playing again, made a character on Alexina.
Named Vashzaron. Wouldn't mind joining the guild.

Also kinda confused on what I should be doing, haven't really played since like.... sometime after Iria was introduced.
Around that time best Experience gain for me was grinding on black mongooses which was boring as hell, I've heard about Shadow Missions but so far no real luck on finding parties for them.

Their Method is pretty easy to do as long as you pick the version appropriate to you. Problems though are actually finding the Zombie spawns and the fact that it DOES NOT tell you if you've killed enough to enter the boss chamber. A decent level of Windmill is highly recommended, so I don't know how you'd fare if you are a mage build.
Enemy Behind isn't too bad solo either. You NEED a knockdown skill to use on the boss if he connects with Life Drain.
I know the thread's been dead for a good while, but the Merlin update's just come out recently, and it'd be a good time to start playing again, especially if you're interested in being a mage.
There's some new skills, like
-Meteor Strike( pretty obvious what this does)
-Snap Cast, like chain cast with a cooldown of 5 minutes. Allows you to cast any basic or intermediate magic instantly.
-Spellwalk, lets you walk while casting spells.
There's also a free bear pet out right now that you can redeem by just 'purchasing' it for free off the webshop.
If anyone's interested in starting to play again I'll be happy to help you around a bit, as i've got nothing better to do anyways.
I recently uninstalled this to take a break for a bit. I'm not terribly keen on the Ace system, but that is partially because its the first cash shop thing in this that actually confers anything resembling an advantage.

It's really not all that advantageous, since you have to be at least level 1k to buy a level 1k card. It's more of a grind/money saver than a straight up pay 2 win system. Plus, the character won't be as powerful as if you had manually levelled them up, since they'll be missing AP from aging and exploration.
